Ah I see. I'd seen the front end render before by the side profile I didn't remember.

If it does end up having yellow windows, that would indeed be a break from the norm and make cockpit view unique to Peugeot, as JEV said in the video

Looks like the fin may follow the 'roof line'. Has it got a rear wing? Can't imagine that the benefits from not running one would outweigh having it, but couldn't see anything in the 3 seconds of dodgy dark footage in the rain.

don't know how this 3d render will be close to the real car, at 00:21 of the teaser it seems rear wing will be extremely low placed, some kind of big ducktail spoiler maybe.
Anyway engine seems to rev up to 8000rpm like toyota |

The rear wing appears to be placed "behind" the car. We haven't seen things like that since the '90s probably.
Peugeot seems to be very serious about the styling of this thing. If the finished product is anything like the teasers, it'll make Toyota Groio look a bit agricultural. AND it will mean in 2022 all 3 LMH models will look significantly different to one another, which is a welcome change from the norm. |

Can they institute a new rule that gratituous renderfarm energy expenditure can be taken out of the cars energy budget? Because they're probably down to about 15Mj a stint once you take the number of shiny promo videos in to account.
Also, as a driver, I would hope that it's a lot less shaky and wobbly than that video makes it look... |

Holy smokes. This thing looks AWESOME
EDIT: appears FIA WEC insta showed the vid too early. The radical departure is no rear wing, as well as a hell of a lot of Peugeot styling “slashes” throughout the car. |

Didn't see it. As above, the announcement was supposedly GMT+2 which would be now so would've thought the WEC done right.
Had a feeling it would be no rear wing, I assume that's because the goal is Le Mans and not so worried about the championship? Or do they think they've got the aero elsewhere? |

no news on peugeot youtube pages, it's a small conference or simply a trailer drop?

No news anywhere from Peugeot on social media. Or FIA WEC. Seemingly they’ve embargoed the entire planet, including themselves, but excluding DSC.

RE lack of rear wing, does it need one? There’s only a certain number you’re allowed to make in the regs. If you can generate that number elsewhere on the car, in theory, surely it doesn’t make a difference whether you have a rear wing or not?

Does seem strange that only DSC have released it, suspect there's some timezone confusion and we'll see everyone else posting in 30 minutes or so |

usually I have a darwinian approach to the motorsport... there is a reason if a kind of "natural" selection decided that sportscars prototypes need to have front/rear wings and a MR layout...
anyway as far I've read on DSC, peugeot isn't going to do a full WEC program, the design of their supercar clearly tells they're focusin on le mans. |

Aha, someone finally caught up https://twitter.com/peugeotsport/sta...462984196?s=20
How many wags like me will be pointing out that it won't be able to pass the 908? |
