The 8 car wasn't really in contention until those safety cars so in spite of the pace, I think I have more gripes with those safety cars that killed all the strategy that the 51 Ferrari and the 5 Porsche utilized to get ahead.

For pretty unfair treatment at this year's Le Mans where Ferrari were judged so leniently, they probably sent them complaints!

Yes, it has happened before. Maybe they used tyres from one of the practice or qualifying sessions.

Following on from my last post. The #85 Iron Dames Lamborghini received a 4:45 time penalty for using two extra tyres in Austin this season.

IMO pretty stupid of the ACO and FIA to one, consider Michelin a competitor instead of a vendor considering that in LMH they're the spec tire supplier, and two, charge them a 15,000 Euro fee for not submitting RFID info on time for what, again, is a spec tire class.

They can use 26 but pretty sure there's more in the garage because of two types available - mediums and hards.

This isn't the first time Michelin have been caught out by this and the document was worded in a similar way calling them a competitor.

About the #51 penalty: it was due to using tyres from the grid formation. Ferrari say there was no performance advantage.



The Michelin tyre allocation fine was apparently a separate issue.

And could possibly be even better next year with BMW, Cadillac, Peugeot and Alpine getting up to the same performance window...not to mention Aston Martin joining aswell
