We don't know the details yet. It could have just been a case of Brodie asking for a release and Barry saying not happening. Is that workplace bullying or just a case of an employee not getting what he wants?

What an unholy mess, has there ever been such a monumental disruption 2 weeks before the season is due to start? If there is substance to the rumour that the problem all seems to stem from the friction between Brodie and Barry Ryan, why on earth has it only materialised now? Surely there was evidence of the unrest beforehand?

One place that has benefited from the Erebus / Kostecki split has been Ten-Tenths with an uplift in traffic. In 10 days there have been 230 posts on this thread, while the 2023 season silly thread only managed 159 in 22 months.

Interesting podcast on Rusty’s Garage, with Mr Adderton and Mr Chapman with Mr Greg ‘Switzerland’ Rust.

Mr Adderton discusses the means by which the alleged impasse can be solved..
it’s funny though.. in a circumstance of malcontent the answer almost always be to exit and move on.. why it hasn’t happened is mysterious.. are they too close to the heat.. it’s not like there are sponsors to pacify any more… unless there is something brewing there too.

If the assertions in the podcast and drivers are viewed at that team as light bulbs (unscrew one screw in another and you can still see..) then the two new fellas have some pressure on. Although it took the previous incumbents a few years to figure it all out and win…

The most logical reason for the team not being in any sense of hurry to release Brodie, and to announce Todd Hazelwood as being in the car for the first round, is to sabotage any real chance of Brodie winning back-to-back championships. Whilst the "hopes and dreams" of Erebus have been somewhat broken, Erebus is now ensuring that Brodie suffers an equal level of shattered hopes and dreams by helping to tarnish his driving record.

It is brutal in many ways, but hurt people hurt people. That is why we have bullies.

Interesting, could we see Jodie drive for 888 (if contracts are broken) and maybe a Co-Drive in for Whincup or the 3rd car?

Driving overseas for the year and back to Oz for the Co-Drive events?

A logical observer might have thought for such a large on car space that the big red brand might have made its way onto the driver’s race pajamas & stack hat…

Late deal? Contra? Tweaking Erebus’ nose..? Or is BroadIP back on the sponsor roster..

This is what will happen next Saturday at the Bathurst 500.

A R.A.A.F Hercules painted in Coke colours will appear from behind the mountain, and position itself over Conrod straight and will do tactical drop. The Coke by Erebus Camaro and Brodie will float down and when it touches terra firma, the car will roar into life, and drive around to start line.
The rest of the field will be gridded up, but he will weave his way through to pole position.
The Coke promo music will be played, Barry will announce they have signed Brodie on a 50 year contract and have the backing of Coke for next 50 years at $50 million.
The dream team lives on!
Barry told the media they got the deal with Brodie over the line, by getting him two tickets to the Taylor Swift concert.

But then again it could be a nasty divorce!
