This is getting quite exciting at the front actually.

EL Norma only needs to find one extra second and they'll be faster than the GT leaders
edit: oh they just did

Seems like in the dry the Spa curse is in full force--in the wet the E-tron is faster, but in the dry, the difference between the E-tron and Ultra are marginal. Either Audi's simulations are wrong or the E-trons may be sandbagging. I hope that it's for the latter, as I don't think that Audi want to feel that they wasted tons of money and over 2 years of work just for the "normal" R18 to dominate.

One Toyota just ran a 3:28.

Stuart Hall did a 3:41 in the Pescarolo AMR-One... that's some 7 seconds faster than the original AMR-One ever managed, and it's only the test day. 4 seconds off the Dome and the car has basically been rolled out of the box. Looking forward to seeing what the car will be doing in the afternoon.

The Corvettes are sandbagging so hard!.... We all know how quick they were last year... And they have an even better car this year..So 4:00 is not impressive for them...WE know theyll be hitting 3:56.

Toyota sandbagging as well...So dastardly. Simply smashing I'd say.

I think Aston as well will be mid to high 3:50s. Probably not showing their hand yet, getting the setup down.

I think they just made the stream "private" in some way, if I try to reopen it in another tab I get the "denied acces" message too.
Now they are testing different zoom levels but the camera stays static and the quality very poor, nothing special.

Good to see a Toyota only +0.566 of the Audis, we need some competition (hopefully that gap will remain or decrease for the race day)

3:55-56 would now be my guess for the PRO pole sitter... Sebring already saw new records for the class

Exciting session, now off for a little break before act 2

For comparison, Peugeot was 2.6 seconds slower then Audi through the first 4 hour test session last year.

This year, Toyota is .6 behind after the first 4 hour test. And this is a new car for Toyota. Very impressive.

Is Audi sandbagging?
Is Toyota giving it all?
Who knows?
But I quite like the small differences after the first half of the testday gone:

The issue is that last year in race trim Audi ran 3:25s at LM during the race, and it seems that the new regs have done little if anything to slow them down, even with the 2011 cars at Sebring.

The issue is what can Toyota do--they've had a messed up test program, and have tested no where that Audi has aside from Paul Ricard, and aside from early testing where the TS030 ran about a second faster than Rebellion did (no Audi comparisons), we have little info to base any comparisons on and we have a lot of questions marks as to can they go faster yet, or are they maxing out with their faster car. We probably won't know until the second session, providing that it stays dry and the track continues to rubber in, which should help the e-trons--they struggled at Spa when the track was dry but green in the race there.

Seems that the second session is a wash--very few cars were on track in the first 15 minutes, and as soon as a few went out, it started to rain. It seems that everyone's waiting on the rain now.
