That's certainly an indication the prospect of a Toyota/Lexus entry is becoming more likely. Bad news for the Mercedes-AMG fleet.

The point in here about manufacturers finding the best bronze drivers is interesting - but it's also a diminishing talent pool as anyone who sticks their head too far above the performance parapet gets upgraded to silver.

There could be some drivers coming out of retirement possibly and some creative interpretations of the rules - https://www.fia.com/sites/default/fi...07.11_jw_1.pdf

A really good piece here from DSC on the current GT3 hopes. Looks like the ACO is (thankfully) trying to get the grid sizes up to allow more people to enter.

Some good nuggets in here - including United Autosports being the frontrunners for a prospective McLaren GT3 entry.
Increasing the grid size is a no-brainer - finally the series is cracking under the 'GT3-high-demand-pressure'!

It still very much remains to be seen whether McLaren will be granted a (double) entry to begin with. As obvious as the United-McLaren ties are, when was the last time the team ran in GT3? And successful? Plus add in the very short preparation time before the 2024 season starts. To me, it doesn't have the ring of a slam dunk to it, especially not considering the fact the likes of Manthey and AF Corse are some of the competing factory reps.

I wonder why not 2 cars by manufacturer that is in Hypercar and 1 car for the rest?
This would be 2 Ferraris, 2 Lambos, 2 Porsches, 2 BMW, 2 Corvette, 2 Lexus and 1Aston, 1Ford, 1Honda, 1McLaren, 1Mercedes and 1 Audi.
This adds up to 18 LMGT3 and you could have all 12 brands.

That would be fine but i'm not sure all the makes necessarily want an entry at the moment. A few of the cars are knocking on a bit and are not as competitive, even with BOP. The NSX is a prime example?

Do we know yet when the announcement will be made? Perhaps its not even an entry list per sae. Just an announcement saying that such and such manufacturers will get to run WEC in 2024.

It all depends on the final number of Hypercar entries. Maybe WEC will confirm at the season finale?

How was Sarah Bovy bronze this year? I thought to be bronze you either had to be very new to any car racing (which she wasn't) or never have raced at all until you were over a certain age, which I don't think she'd yet have surpassed.

What is the requirements in GT AM - I know you have to have a bronze but do you also have to have a silver?

Aston Martin firmly locked in to the GT3 ranks thanks to their re-born Hypercar project. Acura/Honda, McLaren, Mercedes (in alphabetic order) still on the outside looking in.

She got provisionally upgraded to silver around this time last year but they lobbied it and she got put back to bronze. But was always on borrowed time to be honest.

What are the chances that D'Station would have the chance to collaborate with Heart of Racing if they get the Aston entries?

Hmm Let me count my speculation now.

Lexus, Porsche, Ferrari, Chevrolet, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Ford, BMW

So I predict those 8 manufacturers for 16 cars in WEC GT3. Effectively their criteria appears to be 1) Be a hypercar manufacturer or 2) Have had a factory GTE pro effort in the past 8 years.
