This came into my inbox today from my usual car news website.....

A Ford Mustang GTD.... for sale in the US for $US325,000. (Thats half a million of our Aussie pesos!)

Billed as the "Most exclusive Ford Pony Car ever"..... it seems Ford are tking a leaf from Ferrari's book and forcing potential owners to prove why they deserve to be allowed to buy one!

The Mustang GTD should be a beast though.... Ford aiming to make about 600kW from its supercharged V8.

Article then goes on to mention another for those not approved by Ford for a GTD..... legendary tuning house Shelby American has applied its craft to the latest 'S650' pony car.

Dubbed the Shelby Super Snake, it is available with two engine choices...... a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre V8 that makes about 360kW and the other a supercharged version of the same engine that boosts power to an astounding 620kW

Great news, thanks, those beasts look stunning. As to prove you deserve a car in EU it's already been the case with the GT some years ago. May be a Ferrari collector can see his file pushed on top of the Ford pile? Ford vs Ferrari again?

And remember Ford has their expelled list for flipping GTs and winning in court about not reselling. It's becoming a joke, meanwhile they refuse to recall or even just offer a discounted repair program for the 3 cylinder EcoBoost that's been eating wet belts, the 10 speed transmission is turning out exactly like ZF said it would and they are gouging on gasser pickups cause they spent billions on Lightnings that they now can't move

Sadly it looks like they tried a bit of retro, bit of modern and ended up doing both poorly. Just something on it looks off, might be the color though

And I rather like the Fiat 12 Cylinder, but then I've always preferred the look of the front engined Ferraris to the rear/mid engined ones.

Ah yes, but at least you, and your Father Robert before you, both entered, qualified, and had a car start the Great Race. A DNF at Le Mans is better than most of us will ever manage.
