You should pay closer attention. The media likes to take up quotes out of context. He said he feels like he may have been better off racing in the 458 in the wec because his seat was secure. Just as with many things here I don't care to argue about that same topic for the billionth time with you again, but that aside: I fail to see how my comment "Not sure he does" as response to "I think he knows he made a mistake there" is in any way wrong, especially witht his:

I'm here not because I have money; I want to be in Formula One without money, which is very difficult. I'll try. This is many drivers' dream and I need to make the dream come true. That's why I'm here.

“The stuff in the past I don't really mind, I have to say I really appreciate this experience and opportunity. At least I can say to other teams, 'OK, I have experience with the V6' and then the new guys don't need to worry that I'm not familiar with the new regulations or whatever. So I think at least my decision this year so far is good.”

Exaggeration aside, you brought up Koby before saying things that were false in terms of his aspirations. Is it a mistake to want to drive in f1, even for Caterham? Maybe for him it isnt. The comment wasnt directed specifically at you anyway. Sorry if you thought I singled you out.

Max Chilton said on today's F1 Show on Sky Sports that he's been "given some opportunities in LMP1 and DTM" but that he's not giving up on an F1 return.

A journalist here is saying that Audi is waiting for Button to replace TK. Also, according to As( http://motor.as.com/motor/2014/12/02...55_817598.html) Alonso is closer to join Hulkenberg at Le Mans. Gene said: " I'm waiting you ", then Alonso answered :"Yes, wait for me..."...

That article also says Makowiecki will be one of the drivers in the 3rd Porsche and that Gené might be going to Nissan.

If you've got 9-10 drivers to pick then you can do a lot worse than a guy like Gene.

So much experience there, especially if they are going to run some guys from the GTA programme. He surprised a lot of people at Le Mans this year with the pace he's got. The desire is also still clearly there and I don't see him getting a full-season seat at Audi.


On the subject of Button, the longer the McLaren progress drags out I can't help feeling the more likely it is that they retain him.

On the subject of Mako - I think the chance of a P1 drive was probably a big factor in leaving Aston. A chance worth creating that contract mess for.

I still doubt this will happen but if it would, Bernie's head would probably explode.

Not just an active F1 driver doing Le Mans but also one of its star drivers? Geez, what a PR win this would be for everyone.

I guess there is always the chance of him being 'placed' in a McLaren GT for a race or two or even a Honda P2. I would expect that sort of decision to be taken later on though.
