For GT we are assuming:
Aston - Heart of Racing and D'Station? BMW - WRT Chevy - TF Sport Ferrari - AF Corse Ford - Proton Lamborghini - Iron Lynx Lexus - Akkodis ASP McLaren - United Autosports Porsche - Manthey Quite a few driver line ups to be confirmed in that lot. For Hypercar it's mostly BMW, Lamborghini, Isotta and 3rd Ferrari drivers that need to be confirmed. |

Yifei Ye turning up in the 3rd Ferrari is a surprise.
Thought he was a Porsche (semi) works driver? Ye, Kubia, and Schwartzman would be an excellent line-up. https://www.dailysportscar.com/2023/11/25/yifei-ye-set-to-join-privateer-ferrari-hypercar-effort.html |

Finding 5 drivers for their cars, that's a tough one for Jota. And Ferrari with this rumored line-up is basically a third factory car. If that plays out some role in the driver championship battle, I imagine other manufacturers will want a third "private" car too

Short of having another 6-8 entries, I dont think we could ask for much more.
Its a shame Vanwall arent there, but then they were struggling to hit a good enough window of performance that justified their spot, I personally much prefer a 3rd Ferrari. I don't think i'll miss LMP2 next year, let them be the main show in ELM, and feature at Le Mans. Fine by me. The only loss on the GT front is no Mercedes and Audi, but considering how much those two have dominated GT racing for some years, im kind of not so bothered by their absence for the year. |

...and yes, Vanwall didn't make the cut. That last-second deal with Pipo didn't make a dent with the FIA or the ACO.
Isotta Fraschini did get in, even with the team change. |

Bit of a shock?
He was certainly a Penske pick rather than a Porsche man, was he the weakest of the drivers, or weak enough that Porsche was able to put on some pressure perhaps? Headed back to IMSA or just dropped completely? Also, Isotta picked a silver driver in Garcia. I didn't watch ELMS this year, but he won the LMP3 category, so he must have some promise. But taking a silver seems a strange choice considering there are always more good drivers than there are seats available. |

After looking him up, he was with Cool Racing in LMP3, and they race a Ligier, whilst also finishing 20th in FIA F3 this year with Jenzer.
Honestly, I don't get it, but I'm always prepared to been wrong when it comes to drivers being given a chance. |

There was so much talent in WEC LMP2 and ELMS LMP2 this year without hypercar seat so yea, strange things going on around Isotta (including Vector exit). |

Was the weakest of the Porsche factory drivers. He does have an IMSA title to his name, so he deserved a shot, but he wasn't the strongest driver in his IMSA title either.

In the end, Penske will transfer him to the IMSA team, where he can use his skills in the north American tracks. The spot will be taken over with one of their other drivers, so it's no real problem.

But anyway, if you're the weakest Porsche driver then you can't expect to stick around that long, considering the binders full of drivers they have access to. |
