Porsche absolutely crazy on qualifying laps. Will be interesting to see how their race pace is compared to Audi tomorrow.
Sadly for Toyota, the faces in the garage tell the whole story...

And by the way good job by Sard-Morand in third after their absence in Silverstone.

If the race was qualifying then we know the result. But thankfully its still to come. But the pace is outstanding from these cars.

Well the same goes for ESM #31 who put Ed Brown in the car - those Ams need all the running they can get. Interesting to see DHH was only 0.6s off Dalziel - Scott Sharp is probably the slowest driver in that car!

If I remember correctly, the new rules state that out of the two drivers that set the qualifying laps in LMP2/ GTE-AM, one of them needs to be the am driver

much worse than that... if these qualifying session is the mirror of the real performance of each manufacturer, toyota is just screwed...
shame on them! TMG just updated the 2014 car, porsche and audi did a much better overall improvement/development for their 2015 cars.

If this weekend is anything to go by Ferrari will be slow at Le Mans in overall laptime but great on strategy. Porsche fastest GTE cars in a straight line.

That may change if they fiddle with BOP again (and it's highly likely they will do so).
I remember not much long ago that the Ferrari was the fastest in a straight line, then the Aston, now the Porsche....

I think that Toyota were not sandbagging.
And after Silverstone and Spa qualifying I'd say it's a shame that Toyota haven't progressed as much as Porsche and Audi (3" gap this year for 1" in 2014). We could have had a close battle with the three brands.
Anyway all the Hybrid cars have made much progress... too much progress ?

No! Not too much progress. Just too many wanting to interfere. Lets not kill the duck that is laying the golden eggs...just yet. They will kill it eventually. They always do. Let's just enjoy it whist we can.

Toyota's ideal laptime is 2s off Audi and 2,5s from Porsche.

Incredibly, #7 was still 0,5s faster than the #9 on S2. I guess that's down to Lotterer as DiGrassi was 0,3s from Albuquerque, there.

Toyota is 1,4s from Lotterer in S2, if they had brought the LM package, they would be even slower there. Sorry, there is no hope for this car

Geezzz ! 1:54.755 best lap for Porsche. Amazing. That'd make them the 17th fastest in the 2014 F1 field.

Stunning pace by the Porsche's, but i wouldn't count Toyota out yet. Yes they look as if they don't have the outright pace but they seem close enough to take advantage if a situation presents itself.

The cars will be slowed down for next year or they energy allocations might be changed after Le Mans as thats when they change the EOT tables.

However by reducing the energy allocations it will led to less energy being used and for a small time the cars being slower until the engineers make the cars go this fast but on even less energy in a couple of years time and we can marvel at how technology has advanced.

Toyota don't look very strong, but still wouldn't just rule them out. You never know with these races.

However, as unfortunate the outcome for them, blaming the accident on the Audi is appalling. They may have a point about the rain lights, but you either call this a "racing accident", or you apologize for striking from behind. Or maybe we should start blaming Martin Brundle when Ayrton Senna rammed him from behind in the infamous 1989 Australian GP. Sorry to bring an F1 reference, but at least those were the good times

Well, how do you know the LM-spec car is slower? Seems the opposite in Audi's case. The #1 was rebuilt from a spare tub and missed a third of fp2. I think theyre in a pretty good spot. Plenty of time before the race ends, let alone Le Mans

Why wouldnt they blame Audi for the incident? Theyre not going to blame their driver. Why would they be driving so slow even if it was an outlap? The conditions were bad enough, that seemed to complicate things by driving slowly. Thats my take on it.

Not sure where exactly the incident happened but assuming it was past the kink just after pit out (since the cars came to a stop at Les Combes), Jarvis could and should have stayed on the right hand side of the track - it's the same side where the pit exit blends into, while the racing line is on the left (after the kink).
They use the F1 style pit out if I am not mistaken. And as I mentioned on an other thread. Why could neither of the race engis warn their drivers. Shouldn't they have GPS positions of all the cars on the track? I think it is sadly a normal racing incident. Nevertheless, therer should be huge improvements in the rain lights deparment.

1 of the 2 timed laps used for the establishment of the grid must be completed by a silver or bronze driver. (Bronze only for GTE-Am)

Kcmg disqualified from qual and start from pit lane for running the car too low, no good for them. Excited for this one.

Reading more about kcmg may not be due to plank wear, if not I hope they can rectify the issue for the race.

They should be in a position to rectify the issue regarding the plank which is said to have failed the post-qualifying scrutineering flexibility tests. As a matter of fact, they have to, as otherwise they will face disqualification from the race on the same grounds.

I post this here to stress what a good environment we have now in the WEC. Those that are obsessed with regulating, must be made to stand back and let things evolve. http://www.endurance-info.com/fr/rom...es-ont-change/

None of the streams on that connectcast website seem to work properly on my computer, so I just went and bought the streaming package for this season. It said that the account can be linked to the app aswell. Does that mean that you can watch the stream on the app aswell?
