Ok, just call it as useless and no winners to be had today
20 ain't gonna make it, don't think either fronts are rolling Flagman's arm must have gone numb or he dropped the yellow and couldn't find it |

He is just running away from the field helped by Hendrick incompetence on the longer runs today. The cars just ain't keeping tires it seems.
Finally it's done. He needed to cross the line backwards in a cloud of smoke to sum up the day right. Although smoke at T1 seems fair too |

At last!
Good to see Reddick get that in the bag. Definitely the best guy won in my books. Impressed with KFB on the older tyres, the old dog is definitely looking like he's back in the game. Which a$$ bumped Kimi... GRRRRR!!! |

Watching very delayed.
Man, that was stressful for Reddick. Thank heavens for that. Generally here was nice racing there. Not much idiocy. Kimi, Jense and Jordan didn’t have great races, but I hope the had fun. To varying degrees it would be surprising if they did. Love seeing them have a go. Last edited by Adam43; 27 Mar 2023 at 01:55. |

Reddick was very impressive, thought Byron was good too - Reddick deserved the win after all them green/white re-starts...

Here's my hot take: Nascar should do a single one-lap overtime on road courses.

That's the original OT rules but still must have felt like "it ended under caution" after a few times.
At least they've done away with throwing the yellow at the end of stages for road courses. They should do that at ALL tracks. |

Just watched an interview with Button, he said he had to stop twice for ice and water as it was so hot, he had heat exhaustion. Oh, and he'd not raced a car for three years!
He also said it was 60% fun and 40% silly |

Probably get called to the Hauler next time for saying it's only 40% silly.
We're NASCAR son, and we're the 100%ist silliest show on earth, got it limey? |

NASCAR's appeals panel partly rescinds HMS louver penalties: 100 points and 10 play off points restored, $100K fines remain and crew chiefs have to serve the remainder of their suspensions (which I believe is one or two races).

NASCAR makes changes to what the appeals panel can/can't do with penalty amendments, though I thought the panel was separate from, and hence can't be directly influenced, by NASCAR:

Nope, it's always been the appeals panel of NASCAR. But the rules the panel would consider are NASCAR rules so if they change it to read you can either find no penalty or uphold penalty only, that's what they can rule only.
Thought it was stupid to rule no penalty shall be applied but Hendrick was wrong. Either they modified the part or they didn't and if they did, penalty. NASCAR has a process for reporting out of spec and recording it as such, Hendrick from all accounts just said screw it, we need it to "fit" so do it. Turns out it likely fit and they changed it anyway. And now they've changed the contours of the greenhouse, I've seen differing reports as to what they actually did though |

Still confused by NASCAR running on Easter and Mothers Day, especially the Bristol dirt race over just another oval. But then I napped most of the afternoon and forgot it was on
