Nothing to worry about really. Roads are much quieter and better surfaced than in the UK. It's mostly on the motorway. Just follow the signs closely through Rouen but it's all good. If you're in an experienced convoy it's not really an issue getting lost.

That was the same problem for me last year. I don't use their site anymore. I only book my places by mail, and it is very efficient. As long as the booking office will have people to answer, I recommend to call them ( if not saturated) or the best, to send an emil as soon as the booking time is on. I send an email to the person who answers to me each year. Good plan. |

Since you passed your test in July, the lower age limit of 18 for driving in France probably won't apply to you next June. Full details on the AA's website at http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice...nce-monaco.pdf |

She is always very helpful and well worth saying hello when you visit Le mans itself, she works in the tourist office close to the cathederal. Simon |

And I asked for collecting the tickets myself at her office, so I'll definitely meet her this June. |

Hopefully (fingers crossed), next year year, my exams will end the week before. I had some OCSE's on the Saturday, and broke every speed limit to get back home so I could catch the start. Just brought a Swift Sport as well, it's begging to be take to La Sarthe

Looks like a long walk to some showers or toilets then....
Has anyone been on this campsite before? |

There will probably be a few instances of this with other sites having to step up to take the slack for the loss of Karting Nord. At least that area you're in nobster seems quite 'exclusive'.
The could be a few unlucky people camped on inclines or concrete! |

I think this is the new area between Houx and Houx annex, closer to the track and village, but not exactly sure, the area was once heavily wooded and surrounded by high walls and fencing.

Allways have stayed on Houx Annexe, your area seems like the open area next to the new entrancelane coming from the tramstation. Unlike Houx Annexe their is no fence arround it but no worries, the Houx Annexe fence on your side last year was always open and so toilets are quite close and improved again last year. Entance by car is the same as Houx / Houx Annexe.

Not to forget the tiny pitches in Houx across from where the VXR Club marquee has been which flooded terribly last year.

Definitely a fear of mine that we'll rock up one year and get pitched in a lake.

One year we were camped in HA everything looked good on friday but while we were in town for the parade a massive storm arrived, we sheltered in a bar for several hours and had trouble getting back to the camp site, When we got there the floods were unbelievable, near the enterance the water was several feet deep, and you could only see the tops of some tents, our area was pure mud with cars sinking into the ground and anything not secured down washed into low lying area's. After that we decided to only camp on high ground and have been in TR ever since.

Just had a better look at my Uni calendar and it seems I have a window of opportunity... right on the Le Mans race weekend. I'm seriously considering coming to LM now.
