There is a map of the new Riverside Raceway at the Racing Circuits website. Here's a direcdt link to the circuit map for those of you who want to see it...
http://www.racingcircuits.net/United...side2004.html. It looks errily similar to the old circuit. To view the old circuit go here...

The links don't work. Go to http://www.racingcircuits.net, click on the North American tab at the top, choose United States on the left side, then scrool down the list of tracks, or click on the "R" button, to Riverside and Riverside Motorsport Park, and click on both to see their maps.

That doesn't work either. Lets try it without the punctuation at the end.

Old Riverside: http://www.racingcircuits.net/United...Riverside.html

New Riverside: http://www.racingcircuits.net/United...rside2004.html

I hope those work! (Please!!!)

Interesting, I was checking my earlier posts about the Pau track, and noticed that the Racing Circuits link had punctuation at the end and worked, but the first ones I posted about Riverside, which contained punc., don't work. How weird.

Pirenzo, I can't seem to find out how the road course-oval combination runs.

like this. Really, they'd rarely be used in Combination however

And the GP circuit. Sorry, but those two horrid chicanes has got to be there, because there is no possibility of runoff there...

Hmm... it doesn't seem that tight at all, judging from the size of the car. No tighter than the final turn at Long Beach.

It's a wide angle shot.

It's very tight i assure you. Tighter than that would give away.

Look at how the roads leading up and going away from it are nearly parallel.

Damn good circuit as it is though.

All 1st and 2nd gear though (except the final two turns and t1, which are 4th 5th and 4th respectively)

I've made some further alterations to my Montlhéry design. Especially the infield section - I added a hairpin there. Furthermore I tightened a few corners to make them a bit more challenging. Tell me what you think.

If you remove the left kink before the final hairpin, it would be better, but also if you did away with the left hand part of the Déviation Nord chicane, to make it a proper corner, you might get more passing into the ensueing chicane. Probably make it look more balanced too.

I dunno, pirenzo. The hairpin @ Monaco looks tighter to me, and those roads ARE parallel.

At any rate, whichever is tighter, neither are ideal.

You still might consider bypassing it for the Champ Cars (in Pau's case anyway, it's not possible at Monaco)

Had a crack at this... Removed the chicane there at Complex Bankin, to build up more speed for the Hairpin...
