Would love to see a decent update from them like Porsche and Audi have done. Just show us a piece of carbonfibre to get us all excited.

I never thought I would be saying a V8 was the best sounding engine |

Great to see Nick remain in the series and also Beche move up to what will likely be the 'lead' car.
Biggest question is who sits in the second car. |

I donno how the 2014 engine will differ, but its based off the same engine. So the RV8 line will remain but just evolve to meet the fuel and efficiency demands. Maybe it will be larger in displacement and not rev so high? Should still be unique though.

I may be wrong, but didn't Toyota confirm a while back that the TS040 would use a circa 4.5-5.0 litre version of the RK V8? It may have been in Race car engineering or something along those lines so logically I would assume Rebellion will be running an iteration of that engine in the 2014 car?

To me is simple:
toyota racing: enlarged RV8KLM + hybrid systems rebellion racing: enlarged RV8KLM + nothing |

I thought the TS030's engine shared almost nothing with the RV8KLM? Apart from both being 3.4 liter V8s?

I would be surprised if they can get that engine out to 4.5 to 5 litres considering it started life as a purpose built 3 litre Indycar engine.

Got all my fingers crossed for them. The WEC needs this team and should take every step to help them.

The sad thing is Rebellion probably hasn't had anything to do with this delay!
Being that it's Oreca who's building the cars. |

I still think they should have gone with DOME. For all their concerns with that chassis, it seems the Oreca chassis is causing the same things they feared would happen with Dome!
