Interesting to see yet another broken brand saved by the Quinn Family Here
Will we now see the Sara Lee brand displace the Local Legends or Game Over on various supported race cars here |

After the Quinn family have saved Sara Lee, they could take over running Australia!

On other motorsports fur a moment.. it is disappointing to read that Sonic are no longer running cars in the various Australian Formula Ford championships.. citing a lack of promotion/recognition of the category, and accompanying challenge in securing ongoing backing.
While it is a commercial decision, and every team has to make sure they operate within their means, or look to do something else… given how many pilots came to V8Supercar thru a formula Ford apprenticeship… is it signing the toe tag for that category? |

They don't return, this part of partnership has been ongoing despite Penske withdrawing from running the team. It's the extension of the deal, at least that's how I understand it.

Like WAU’s deal with Palm Trans.. Like BJR’s deal with Mack Trucks… Like Grove’s deal with Velocity truck Centres… Like 888’s deal with Daimler Benz trucks… There are still loads of images and posters and the like around some of the Penske Truck Centres in Australia and New Zealand with DJRTP branding still attached.. |

Yeah, exactly. No big news and completely not connected to their past relationship with Penske as DJR Team Penske.

The Supercar Superlicence scheme is back for 2024.
The new scheme, had been if force in past years, would have prevented such hack drivers as Skaife, Ambrose, Whincup and Lowndes from driving unless they were granted an exemption. Mark Skaife (using the Toyota '86 series points as a substitute for his Laser series results) Craig Lowndes (Sorry Craig, your Formula Ford and Australian Driver's Championship results won't get you enough points to take on JB at Bathurst in '94) Marcos Ambrose (You're not getting in either without an exemption) Jamie Whincup (Your Formula Ford results nearly get you there) |

Ridiculous toast post.
We live in a different world to the past with full time professional teams, not the past. The new scheme is much more flexible especially with regards to internationally recognised categories and no longer forces people into Super2 if they have adequate experience in other relevant categories. |

Interesting to see the BJR squad show off two of their cars this weekend.
And that Pizza Hut is now on the bonnet of the #8 R&J Batteries unit.. replacing Cub Cadet… Stretching possibility becomes interesting.. If Mr Jones’ #96 car no longer carries Pizza Hut.. might it find a new pilot with a Lichtenstein-owned financial services business on it? The colours of the #8 car are similar enough to almost replace R&J with that other brand with very little effort… A long bow perhaps.. |

Long bow. I have heard Bush might be heading for some fresh Premi-Air, so maybe Mr Slade can bring a sponsor to BJR?

Plus when SVG tried to do it the Camaro wasn’t being raced yet in Supercars which played a part.
Now it’s running in both, it’s not an issue |
