Hmmm pit radio had the engineers telling Kimi to pick up rubber on the parade lap. Why would they ask that?

All those clouds around and not a drop of rain.
I bet it pours down as soon as the last engine is switched off. |

To pick up some weight and to raise the ride height slightly.
All to make extra sure of passing the scrutes. |

I didn't see the Kimi win coming, much as I don't know how Alonso ended up back where he was after that heroic pass into Imola ! Amazing !

McLaren got the strategies all wrong, Fernando put in a lot of effort for minimal reward and Lewis should have at least been close to the Ferraris. Superb drive from Kimi, also impressed with Kubica and Button.

Alonso is debatable, but I don't see the big deal with Hamilton. I guess Mclaren figured that if they just mirrored Ferrari then they would just finish 3rd, therefor they figured they'd give the extra stop a punt.

BTW this was Lewis's worst finish since Australia. The guy has lost the plot!

He made a slight error in qualifying too.
He's doomed! |

Lewis Hamilton's bronze medal finish in the recent F1 Car Race of France was the worst performance I've seen in all of the three weeks I've been watching the sport. He showed at the Circuit Giles Brandreth and at Indianajones that his car was the best, so to finish third shows that he's lazy and not fit to wear the white of McLaren. He's let himself down, he's let his Dad down, and more importantly he's let his country down. Here's hoping that Ron Harris sees sense and puts someone more deserving in his car in time for Silverstone. Perhaps young Wayne Rooney, of Manchester United. Yours Disgusted of Lee-on-Solent |

Not wishing the guy any harm. But indeed I'd be curious to see what happens if he fails to score a point on home turf.
