Yes.

A telling off from the GPDA should suffice. Although I expect in these comedy times for F1 that Lewis will be dumped ten places next time out.

When he said it, he was specifically talking about the pit crew who were being shown on screen at that moment, and who were flying Swiss flags, not Polish flags...

He should be banned/fined/whipped because this proves he is arrogant/useless/slow because I am biased/dim/nasty.

and to be slightly hypocritical:

Ofcom have fined ITV £4.2m for, I can only presume, employing James allen.

Although it is a very weird light arrangement at Montreal

with two flashing red lights above one and another

very different to most where there is one or two red lights both on constantly

This may have been a slight cause of the end of pitlane crash

As with the Kimi mistake at Monaco, it was poor but a mistake and nothing more.

I suspect had Lewis not crashed Nico would have crashed into him anyways.

It's up to the drivers to be aware and the team to make extra sure of it.

At least he should admit his mistake. He gave a very weak interview on german tv. Clearly he is not to blame for this incident, yeah right!

Red, looked like a simple racing incident to me just like Kimi's one in Monaco.

Yeah, it was weak. However I am so pleased that we have a member of 10-10ths here that has never done somethimg really stupid and then not tried to explain it in a good light. Shame that this talent doesn't mean that someone is amazing at controlling a 200mph car.

Lewis Hamilton, brilliant at 200mph, bit ropey at stopping for a red light!

Not really, had Kimi not been there Lewis would have gone through the red light even if he slammed on the brakes and therefore would recieve a penalty.

We must remember that last year there were problems with the same red lights. I guess something must be done about it, because it's not just an isolated case.

Perhaps Lewis was just trying to make his 'pop' feel a bit less of a twot!

What got me was the way that they started stacking side by side. That must lead to mayhem when they all exit.

Shouldn't it be a single file rule?

Oh comeon, it's an incident but NOT racing! It was in the bleemin pitlane! How hard is to see a flashing red light ahead you (about 1 meter long panel) and if that's a problem how hard is to notice not one but two about two meters wide stationary cars ahead you? And it's not happening at 300 km/h speed, but at a moderate 80 km/h as per the pitlane speed limiter dictates. Really! Any comparison to Kimi in Monaco (disgraceful thing that was too, by the way) is really ludicrous.

PS: Apparently he did apologize.
