Race day press conference by GTA (Masaaki Bandoh) <Part.2>
http://www.as-web.jp/supergt/472075?all If DTM vehicles run domestic race or foreign race, there is a contract that they must use Hankook. So DTM vehicles must use Hankook tire also in joint events. And SGT tire is quicker than one-make Hankook tire. So SGT vehicle must use Hankook tire after all. FSW has a very long straight-line. Therefore, it was a test of whether the Hancock tire can adapt to this. |

Sunday press conference by GTA <Part.3>
https://www.as-web.jp/supergt/472087?all *About GT500 BoP -Midship handicap has been decided as plus 29kg by JAF and manufacturers. So we will not change that figures. -About ballast mounting positions, Weight distribution never matches MR with FR. Therefore, we have specified that some of the 29 kg must be loaded before the front hub center. We allow the use of tungsten for ballasts. -The weight of the ballast won't be changed. However, there may be future changes in (1) the mounting position and (2) the amount of ballasts to be mounted on the front. |

I know it's silly or it's not gonna work, but has anyone found a live stream of the actual race?

Here you go.
Japanese commentary, so pair this up with RJO's English commentary for that pseudo-Nismo TV experience. Although the race has been almost all under SC so far - Hoppy & Mach 5 MC86's both off at the first restart from the SC after 4 laps. Edit - Red flag. Another pair of big offs, the Gainer GTR was first (inside the Moss Esses I think?) and the EVA-01 GTR crashes on the outside in avoidance. Last edited by J Jay; 14 Apr 2019 at 06:04. |

Race day press conference by GTA <Part.4>
https://car.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/1179995.html *About GT300 BoP -About GT3 BoP We ask SRO to do fairly. -About mother chassis, it will use current GTA V8 engine until 2020. After that, we will support for the team. *About GTA vision for international live streaming. -From this year, we have set up an English commentary booth, etc by our own budget. We have a system to enable English broadcasting. The right to broadcast English commentary is purchased by Haro Sports (Malaysian company) for foreign countries, and will start live broadcasting from the second round in Malaysia. And Haro Sports will sell broadcast rights to European TV, too. This is our vision for international live streaming TV. *Haro sports does not have an exclusive international broadcast rights. So other TV can buy that rights. Last edited by Japanese Samurai; 14 Apr 2019 at 06:54. |

Edit - Nevermind, Japanese Samurai just posted the translation. Thanks JS
Looks like any stream will have to go through Haro Sports ... it's a start at least. |

But is Haro Sports will be good enough, much like the guys at Let's Go Racing? I doubt that they'll deliver the quality of the English commentary.

It seems that GTA will make English commentary package by own and supply it to Haro Sports.

Two red flags, three safety cars, four vehicles retired due to accidents - the race was called at less than 75% distance, which should be half points.
Not that will be much consolation for the reigning champions; Tsukakoshi* was penalised for nudging Yamamoto into the gravel at T1, which gave the win to the Arta NSX. It was a lucky escape for the #23, picking up second after looking like they were going to struggle in the wet conditions. Their relief will be echoed by all the LC500 runners, who were also way behind the Hondas. However, someone will be pleased to see that a Lexus won in GT300! The K-Tunes RC-F took the win, with some expert driving to stay on the track. I'm really happy for Nitta in particular; it's about time he was back on the top step ofthe podium. *I didn't see the start of the race, I assume he started and Baguette was going to be next in? |

It's not 75%, more like 40% of the race completed at Okayama.
It would be wise for Super GT to have someone like Sam Collins and/or the Radio Le Mans crew commentating the race rather than an unknown broadcaster. |

The #17 Keihin NSX has been demoted way down to 14th.
Half points have been awarded. |

SGT TV contents with English commentary is produced by GTA. So GTA owns contents copyrights. However, Haro Sports pays the satellite broadcasting cost. So Haro has the contents distribute rights, too. In order for live distribution in Europe to be realized, it is necessary for someone to contract with GTA or Haro, or for GTA to distribute itself. |

Well I don't know who would listen to the English commentary. Certainly the rights seem a bit confusing at the moment. Not what the series needs

The foreign drivers in the series all met over the weekend to discuss options for getting it back, sounds like its expected to return by Rd2. |
