He was making a positive comment about his current team. As he did when he drove for DJR. Correct me if i'm wrong but I haven't heard him make a negative comment about any team... Making negative judgements on someones personality based on 5sec sound bites (from the armchair) is a big call in my opinion. |

I didn't take his comment as disrespecting DJR either.
All he said was its the best car he's driven. There were many different choices of words he could have chosen if he was taking a direct stab at them, saying 'this is the best car i've driven' isn't, its just stating facts. If he had gone out and said 'thank **** i left that ****ty team DJR' then yes, you'd have a point. |

If Leethal drives like that for the rest of the year, and Robbo backs him up in the enduro's, he could be up for a top-5 Championship finish.
Great job GRM!!! |

His team mate from last year finished behind him (as hee did most of last year) and I don't think Will got any more pleasure out of that, yhan he did beating his current Team mate. If, If, If, ..... no good talking about what might have happened. |

The outcome from Saturday and Sunday
No 1 is a race car that has shown that it can be 0.5 seconds a lap faster than any other car at will on the racetrack!!. In Race 2, all Whincup did was gap himself up to 2 seconds in front of the Holdens and drive easy from there on in! The HRT cars are not anywhere near the No 1 package in terms of handling and track dynamics. Mike |

Looks to me like Davison is pushing the car to its limits while Whincup has some in reserve. Interesting that CL is not as quick in essentially the same car......

I think the stonies would be happier with this debut over the debut of Courtney at this track a few years ago. I still don't think he's as good as his brother though |

888 have consistency in the drivers and team (with new gear)....look at everyone else around running 2 cars and see who compares.....
GRM.....Yes (same performance, one top driver, one "not so much") FPR......Yes (Frosty upset at top ten result, richo the same) HRT......No KRT......No SBR......No DJR......No BJR......No SGR.....No I think as the year shakes out JW wont be as far ahead on track, but points wise he will be hard to chase down if he remains always within the top 3, which is quite possible. CL will play tail gunner again, which Im sure he is happy to do at this stage of his career. If he can pull top 5 in the championship again then it aint so bad. |

Are you sure CL would be happy to play tail gunner????? His driving on the weekend would suggest otherwise |

I have a feeling the CL will take the fight to his team mate this year Roland Dane may need to close his eyes a few times throught the season i think. CL looked huingry for some results as evidence by his driving. and late race attack on tander.

Still not doing too bad for a bloke who, according to this forum it seems, is past his best. Based on the weekend past he still puts 24 other blokes in the shade. He might suprise you all yet.

I'm not saying he's no good. OK maybe he's not past his best either but there are other blokes out there now that are better. I still rate him in my top 5 or 6 drivers though. My point is people seemed to be surprised that he's not beating JW when he wasn't last year either and i think he will struggle to consistently beat JW, GT or WD. Frosty is questionable, i think he can be rattled

According to the experts on this forum. Once you are on the wrong side of 30 you are past your best, washed up and ready to apply for the pension.

Lowndes will continue to show moments of brilliance. I'd say if the pecking order remains the same by 5 rounds in - sorry 5 venues - then it'll be tail gunner. The moments of brilliance will probably then get further apart. Don't know how Tander will manage. The ego began to dominate at HSVDT and if it continues to take a bruising there could be an explosion. WD lived up to the hype, and the hope offered by a new car. I'd say his comments were quite reasonable. I'd say Jnr probably thought the same thing. I notice Pro hasn't been bagging Whincup so much over the last few days, cat got your tongue? Perhaps the fact that he's won a title and backed it up made you look like an idiot? I don't know that anybody bagged Tander any more before he started last year as hot as he did, quite the opposite in fact, even Billy waste-of-time.... |

Lowndes in my books is still the best man for the job when it comes to October and the Great Race. I would agree with those whom refer to him as the Prince of Mt Panaroma, as no one will ever replace the Late King Peter Brock.
