Are you serious?

He was making a positive comment about his current team. As he did when he drove for DJR.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I haven't heard him make a negative comment about any team...

Making negative judgements on someones personality based on 5sec sound bites (from the armchair) is a big call in my opinion.

I didn't take his comment as disrespecting DJR either.

All he said was its the best car he's driven. There were many different choices of words he could have chosen if he was taking a direct stab at them, saying 'this is the best car i've driven' isn't, its just stating facts.

If he had gone out and said 'thank **** i left that ****ty team DJR' then yes, you'd have a point.

If Leethal drives like that for the rest of the year, and Robbo backs him up in the enduro's, he could be up for a top-5 Championship finish.
Great job GRM!!!

Yeah !

As a Tander follower going back to his FF championship year, its great to see Will in front - GT will need to lift & that will be great to watch.

Left HSVDT, no respect ... wipe your glasses Fordsta!!!!

DJR gave him the best of what they had with the small $$$ they had.

Very Very Poor IMO, and a slap in the face for DJR. When Lowndes won 3 bathursts or won his first race in blue colours after being in team red you never saw him say ohh the Vodafone car or the falcon best thing he has ever driven. Poor choice of words Will Poor Choice of Words.

His Team Mate from last year was catching him towards the end of Race 1. Few more laps it may have been interesting. The DJR of Jnr seemed to look after its tyres a little better and seemed to have some genuine pace in the last 20 laps when it counted.
Davison did exactly what he is paid for, he drove well and spoke well in regards to his car/team, just like he did (and was expected) of him at DJR.
His team mate from last year finished behind him (as hee did most of last year) and I don't think Will got any more pleasure out of that, yhan he did beating his current Team mate. If, If, If, ..... no good talking about what might have happened.

About Davison doing well and complimenting his new car, just as EBXR8 has.
Fancy being offended by Davison's comments about his car.
Get over it DJR supporters.

The outcome from Saturday and Sunday

No 1 is a race car that has shown that it can be 0.5 seconds a lap faster than any other car at will on the racetrack!!. In Race 2, all Whincup did was gap himself up to 2 seconds in front of the Holdens and drive easy from there on in! The HRT cars are not anywhere near the No 1 package in terms of handling and track dynamics.

It really was a remarkable achievement by T8 to get a new car with reduced aero to the front and to dominate as they did. However, Davison looked quick in the shootout until he made an error and was quicker than Tander in the race. As I have said previously I think he can take the fight up to Whincup. Bring on round 2.

Looks to me like Davison is pushing the car to its limits while Whincup has some in reserve. Interesting that CL is not as quick in essentially the same car......

Very strange
Considering he missed pretty much two whole sessions of practice probably didn't help combined with not having raced these fulltime for a few years.

I think the stonies would be happier with this debut over the debut of Courtney at this track a few years ago.

I still don't think he's as good as his brother though

yeah he wasn't last year either so what's the point. CL's best years are past him i'm afraid.

I think Davo and GT will be a good pairing though. Tander finally has some help

888 have consistency in the drivers and team (with new gear)....look at everyone else around running 2 cars and see who compares.....
GRM.....Yes (same performance, one top driver, one "not so much")
FPR......Yes (Frosty upset at top ten result, richo the same)
HRT......No
KRT......No
SBR......No
DJR......No
BJR......No
SGR.....No

I think as the year shakes out JW wont be as far ahead on track, but points wise he will be hard to chase down if he remains always within the top 3, which is quite possible. CL will play tail gunner again, which Im sure he is happy to do at this stage of his career. If he can pull top 5 in the championship again then it aint so bad.

Who's KRT???

Are you sure CL would be happy to play tail gunner????? His driving on the weekend would suggest otherwise

I have a feeling the CL will take the fight to his team mate this year Roland Dane may need to close his eyes a few times throught the season i think. CL looked huingry for some results as evidence by his driving. and late race attack on tander.

Still not doing too bad for a bloke who, according to this forum it seems, is past his best. Based on the weekend past he still puts 24 other blokes in the shade. He might suprise you all yet.

I'm not saying he's no good. OK maybe he's not past his best either but there are other blokes out there now that are better. I still rate him in my top 5 or 6 drivers though. My point is people seemed to be surprised that he's not beating JW when he wasn't last year either and i think he will struggle to consistently beat JW, GT or WD. Frosty is questionable, i think he can be rattled

According to the experts on this forum. Once you are on the wrong side of 30 you are past your best, washed up and ready to apply for the pension.

I think Frosty was rattled before the weekend even started. Needs to give himself an uppercut and settle down.

Lowndes will continue to show moments of brilliance. I'd say if the pecking order remains the same by 5 rounds in - sorry 5 venues - then it'll be tail gunner. The moments of brilliance will probably then get further apart.

Don't know how Tander will manage. The ego began to dominate at HSVDT and if it continues to take a bruising there could be an explosion.

WD lived up to the hype, and the hope offered by a new car. I'd say his comments were quite reasonable. I'd say Jnr probably thought the same thing.

I notice Pro hasn't been bagging Whincup so much over the last few days, cat got your tongue? Perhaps the fact that he's won a title and backed it up made you look like an idiot? I don't know that anybody bagged Tander any more before he started last year as hot as he did, quite the opposite in fact, even Billy waste-of-time....

Lowndes in my books is still the best man for the job when it comes to October and the Great Race. I would agree with those whom refer to him as the Prince of Mt Panaroma, as no one will ever replace the Late King Peter Brock.

Whincup and lowndes already have more bathurst wins than him at the same stage in life
