I think it's more a case of, unless the rules change, or Mclaren virtually white wash the championship, the steps are here to stay. Not to mention, the odds are properly against that many windtunnels, CFD simulations and F1 Aero guys independently coming up with the wrong solution. In which case, I'll get over the sharp intake of breath every time I see one. But I don't think I'll ever be able to say I think it looks good.

I've just thought of one good thing about the new 'steps'. At least the photographers are shooting the cars from some new and interesting angles

Will also be interesting to hear how the commentators play it. Chances are these days they'll be all PC about it & just pretend to like them.......... Times like these I really miss James Hunt! He would tell the world (after telling the teams themselves!) of their atrocities! . |

Is it just the tight engine cover and silver paint, or does that rear suspension appear to be connected to the tub further forward than previously.
They have always been aero shaped, but the colour makes it more obvious Where the Red Arrow points to ... |

Is it just me or are those sidepods very tiny? There seems to be a lot of 'floor' visible. And yes, the upper suspension wishbone does appear to be located much further forward than we normally see. Maybe it is the small sidepods that give you that impression?
It looks very, very good....from above. |

When you consider that teams like Caterham are now basically using last years Red Bull running gear (Engine/Gearbox/KERS), you're going to have to do something a bit different just to stay ahead of even the midfield pack.

Believe it or not, I'm actually liking the broken nose...
Erm, well, actually I'm liking the fact that a layman like myself, can actually see the differences clearly in how the different teams are working to the solve the same problem. The difference in angles of the Break in the nose, Some of the noses appear to have a "carved out" section others flat. The fact that some have airducts in the break, The fact that McLaren doesn't have a broken nose. Hopefully it will be an end of having 5 burley mechanics standing around blocking the view of the cars. |

Too embarrassed to stand next to it maybe? Also, from this angle the nose actually looks more like the chassis is poking it's tongue out! Just heavenly!! . |

not sure on the car, i think the back end looks nice, and the nose actually looks nice, until it starts to go uphill rapidly! without that i think it would look really nice |
