fwoooooaaaaarrrrr......LMP1 engine porn me says.......lovely neat turbo & engine package when compared to the Costworth-NISMO or AER V6 turbos.......they are really messy in comparison and almost blocks off the side pod exits
But I'm surprised to see 2 intercoolers, and the subsequent snakes nest to plumb them all in, the immediate bends on the outlet of the compressor stage are not good for flow, I though they would have had a single water-air engine coolant cooler on one side of the car, and an air-air intercooler on the other side of the car......but I guess they have their reasons. |

Running only one unit for each type of cooling coulnd render the engine prone to overhearting at Le Mans, once the tire pickup starts to clogg one of the sides?

WTF is this? On the entry list for HTTT, the only P1 chassis not registered to run (at least not yet) for the full 30 hour simulation is Ginetta? What are they thinking??? This will cost them dearly, this is definitely not the time to take this half-assed.

I noticed that! They definitely need to run the 30hr test with at least one car. Even the ByKolles is doing it!

This is not how you play this game... how can you ever fantasize of having three two-car teams (or more) lined up if you do it like this? Well at least we now have a built-in moment where we can point fingers at if the Ginettas and/or Mecachromes fail spectacularly at Le Mans. By the way I love how Kolles is the de-facto standard for "even" |

Deserved though, I think we've all found their struggles (and fair share of bad luck) frustrating. Personally, I watch them in hope rather than expectation, but would love to see them find some pace and reliability, they deserve that too, for their perseverance alone.
Back on topic... I'm sure the team have their reasons for not taking the 30 hour option. Makes sense to us, clearly not to them (at the moment), but I'm surprised too. |

Maybe they're running shorter on cash than expected
https://www.autosport.com/wec/news/1...lmp1-car-again Lowdon would not comment on the implications of the financial problems encountered by CEFC China Energy on its race programme. It has been reported that the conglomerate, one of the 10 largest companies in China, has been taken over by an arm of the Shanghai government but continues to trade. |

Kubica back in the car and will decide on a drive with them after the test it seems. I hope he decides or reaches an agreement to stay with the team. He's a good talent and I think he'd like to have a full-time drive.

Destiny is usually just around the corner. Like a thief, a hooker, or a lottery vendor: its three most common personifications. But what destiny does not do is home visits. You have to go for it. Perhaps we will see only one of the 10 Ginettas at the track this season. If so many...

Lots of conjecture up there. We have no idea why they are not participating in the 30 hour test.

They're testing at Aragon at the moment so things are still moving along.

I would like to see Kubica drive for the team this season, especially as it looks unlikely he's gonna get a race in F1 this season
