I really hope Heimgartner doesn't get forgotten in the silly season. Once again best Nissan today.

In a team largely built around what Rick wants, Andre has out-performed him regularly.

It may end up that neither of the 888 or Tickford RECs are sold, but your original statement that they "won't be for sale any time soon" was clearly incorrect.

Fair point.
Given the pace of the Mustang, guys like Lee and Waters should watch their back. Imagine if someone like Heimgartner or Hazelwood was in them. Both Waters and Holdsworth have been inconsistent and got involved in stupid **** this year and thrown away points. |

If I was any team looking for the next superstar driver, I'd be signing up Heimgartner on the double.
Waters is over-rated in my book. Doesn't get anymore out of the car than anyone else could. Inconsistant, still makes rookie errors and bad judgement. Can't see him staying at FPR much longer without some decent results ( unless he brings a lot of money for his seat? ) |

If Pye goes to Matt Stone and Courtney to Team 18, who goes to WAU alongside Chaz? https://www.speedcafe.com/2019/08/08...rs-rec-market/

I hope Pye stays in WAU. Mostert-Pye pairing would be a decent one.

Surely Will Brown is better off trying to parlay his Aussie TCR domination into a gig overseas?
AA and Speedcafe articles still alude to a possible drop in grid numbers next year |

Interesting to hear on Enforcer & The Dude that the Nissan engine program is apparently running out of core, irreplaceable components.. like engine blocks.. which might be the trigger to switch to Ford or Holden next season...
Wonder how the Super2 program is fixed for bits then? It might make sense of some of the component failures in the powerplants this year.. and how engines are repairs not replaced... budgetary constraints were assumed, supply difficulties were not. |

I remember what a big deal it was to have the blocks cast, absolutely zero chance of that happening now. What is the value of Altima body parts if there are no engines? Will they run Altimas with a "private label" engine from KRE or somebody else, or go the whole hog and re-skin the cars and become a customer outfit? |

If I were Kelly I would try to run four Mustangs. Better cars than Altima, which - I think - won't be anywhere closer to Holdens and Fords.

Enforcer & The Dude also theorised that the recent drive-by-wire tests could be a way of providing parity should the Kellys use a crate/off-the-shelf engine. I guess that could still be used within the Altimas.

Cool - a mid-field transition, and a prolonged easy slide into retirement. |

WAU could do worse than hire Andre if he stays at FPR
