Something tells me the ACO will try to give Asian entrants a good chance. |

According to RSC, it was one of the original V12 LM chassis (the Cecotto/Winkelhock/Martini car in 1998 at Le Mans), ended up in the hands of Team Goh for the '99 race and did a couple more races in Japan in '99.

Paul Trusser's blog definitely, good combination of WEC coverage and retro articles. http://jalopnik.com/ Not really sure whether it counts as a "blog" anymore, but Jalopnik has good mixed coverage of street cars and racing. http://robertblanshard.wordpress.com/ This guy's entries are few and far between, but when he does write them up they are superb. This one is focused on racing trips (to Monaco, Le Mans, etc.) http://www.speedhunters.com/?wpmp_switcher=desktop Speedhunters always has quality photos and interesting subjects, when they do cover motorsports or retro racing cars the results are fantastic. |

Been watching some F1 silly season stuff in the build-up to Spa.
If Felipe Massa finds himself without a drive next year is he a realistic guy for sportscar racing? Not sure what he's said about his future. He could be very good I think. |

I'm not sure he has the right mindset for sportscar, multiclass and multi-driver racing. If he loses his seat at Ferrari and moves out of F1, it's probably more likely that he'll go to Stock Car Brazil or stuff like that.

Agree with that, Victor. He's quick on his day but quite erratic. Consistency isn't the first thing I think of when I think of Felipe. Seems like a decent bloke though, and he seems to play well with others which is useful in a multi driver team environment.

I think he's likely to follow Juan Pablo Montoya and go Nascar. |

Tomas Scheckter will be driving a Nissan 370Z in the Britcar 1000 next month, along with a couple of GT Academy guys. Said he might be interested in some GT3 action down the line.

Not directly sportscar related but this could be of interest to our US friends:
"Eurosport TV will make its US debut on @VelocityTV1 after deal with @DiscoveryComm. Weekly 2hr motorsports show planned" |

Eh? We don't even have a 2 hour motorsports programme on Eurosport in Europe!
Do we...? |

Apparently the first weekend of Eurosport on Velocity is one hour of British Superbike followed by an hour of FIA European Rally, showing on my guide as "Motorcycle Racing" and "Auto Racing".

Will the Patrick Dempsey doc be on Eurosport then coming in the opposite direction?
Been looking around for it but no joy since it launched in the States. |

Noticed that Guy Cosmo's driver points total = ESM + Level 5 points:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_ALMS#P2_standings_2 I guess that is what the rules say but that's just stupid. (Link is to Wikipedia because it is a clearer table, but I checked alms.com too - same thing.) |

It is drivers points but there is always at least one other driver in the car. Right now there is no connection at all to the season entry. Maybe a driver could have several entries in the points table, but only the one with the highest points would be visible.
If Cosmo becomes the champion, which of the teams should claim that they won? |
