That's one thing I love about this formula. They don't have to try to figure out rules to dumb down the cars. They can just cut the energy back a little, and then we watch the engineers do their thing and claw the time back.

Drivers who "did not comply with minumum qualifying time"
The following drivers did not meet the minimum qualifying time (but will be allowed to race) according to FIA stewards decision 6 were:

#4 Liuzzi/Klein/Trummer (Liuzzi will start the car as he was quickest)
#31 Brown
#35 Maris
#95 Adam
#97 Bell
#99 MacDowall

Yes and despite some are feared about a decrease of consumption, this is why this period of endurance racing is interesting ; there are still many solutions to be explored to bring a supply of energy.

Louise Beckett reporting from the pit lane that according to most teams there is "an 80-85% chance" of rain during the race.

Edit - Neveu just saying that the contract for Spa WEC round has been renewed for 3 years, up to and including 2018.
