Let me be the first to congratulate the director for not learning from his last race.

No they completely missed the Strakka/Rebelllion battle.
They could have cut to the pass with 2 minutes left and then gone back to showing the Toyota. |

This is such great news for sports car racing in general...for the WEC, for Audi, for everybody....
Will be much easier for TMG now to keep their programme running with that kind of result. |

Huge well done to Toyota! Wasn't a thriller but nice a little bit of history all the same. Beat Audi in a straight fight.

Brilliant to see, that. Glad their program has had success so early. Well done Toyota!

Toyota won the same way Audi did at Le Mans last year...using sheer speed to overcome their endurance deficit
Hopefully this means we are in for a big fight at Le Mans next year! |

Fantastic result for Toyota. They were perfect the entire race. In fact, they were so good they really made it somewhat of a snoozer in the 2nd half once it was evident they had enough pace and economy.
Congrats to Starworks again. Easily have been the P2 team of the year. |

Obviously I'm overjoyed with this result! To be honest, I didn't think they had a great chance based off Silverstone! But I'm happy to be proved wrong. Who would have thought they could go as far as they did in their stints? This is AWESOME! I hope this convinces Toyota to go ahead with a 3 car program next year at LeMans and run 2 in the WEC.

Feel privileged to have watched this virtuoso Toyota performance. The speed that this programme is evolving at is incredible.
Honestly believe this might be one of the most significant results we've seen in a long time, for a whole array of reasons. Hats off to everyone at Toyota, and looking forward to what Audi do to come back at this. |

Unless Audi has spare cars to test for hot weather tires, their race cars are gonna spend the rest of the season in shipping containers unless there at the race venue.
And besides, where else can they go to learn about hot weather tires and work on perfecting them in only two weeks time? Toyota know from today that even if Audi are faster (#2 set fastest race lap), if they burn the good of their tires quicker, that negates a lot of Toyota's fuel mileage disadvantage and they can even run to a pace to save fuel, too. |

Congrats to Toyota. I just had a feeling this race was for Toyota...And finally a diesel has been beaten...Raises questions and answers that one day we see a petrol win and we did..But a hybrid one...Well done.....Look forward to the next race.....
