Christian Mamerow spent the night in intensive care after his crash in the then leading #1 Audi. Apparently bruised quite a lot, but otherwise fine, says Rene Rast

Fire for the #28? In the pits or on track?

Good news about Mamerow's recovery, that was a hard impact.

In the pits, reckon they only lost a few seconds, it was put out quite quickly and nowhere near as big as the #26 pits fire shown earlier in this topic

Barring incident (famous last words), this is going to come down to whether the #25 has the pace to overcome the #28.

Edit - And there is the #28 count-back pit stop, which it does while maintaining the lead from the #25. So now they can shadow whatever the MvDS crew does and as long as they stay ahead (with the BMW not able to make significant gains on pace alone) they win the race.

Early stop for the #28, seems to be strategic

I doubt it even with Martin or Luhr in the car, the #28 has Vanthoor in it to the finish. The early pit stop has forced the BMW's hand.

Yep this has been set into a pattern for a while now. Not really any fluctuation in the top five.

Like Trussers said it's going to take an accident or a mechanical to alter the course.

Perhaps some premature celebration from the WRT crew, but they've made their final pit stop and barring disaster the #28 will win the N24 this year.

Chequered flag for the the winner. #28 wins the N24 2015, beating the #25 BMW by over just 40 seconds. #44 Falken Tire Porsche ends up third.

Great race!

Congrats to WRT! Very well deserved.

Was gunning for Marc VDS so gutted for them to come so close again . Looks like Z4 won't be a N24 winner. The BMW team throwing the gold confetti at the finish made the online stream look a bit odd . Sparks everywhere heh heh.

Was it me or were the smaller classes lacking in this years race?

15387 laps in total, 2219 pit stops. Closest finish in history, highest number of leader switches in history. It's been a good year

nice race, but to me the most boring one of last 4 years... too many big guns DNF before sunday morning, disappointing bentley, AMR and mercedes teams and stuupid speed limits that created hilarious moments like Z4 GT3 able to pass more powerfull cars like sls or nissan.

Attrition made the first half of the race interesting but the second half was rather dull. WRT is in a league of their own.

Hopefully suitable changes will be made so the speed limits can be lifted next year. That combined with all of the new GT3 machinery could make next years event a classic.
