Fast, exciting and old school. Next you'll be asking for tarmac run-off! Re-paving will remove a part of the challenge. The grass is perilously bympy and overgrown and therefore good. tl, chicanes are sacriligious. I hope that was a joke. |

Bear in mind the layout hasn't changed since 67, it would be sacreligious to change it! Keep it how it is, it's a great track

I agree, it doesn't need changing, it needs tidying-up! Also WHY is the tarmac RED? |

Sorry mum, I seem to have missed something. You've posted a link to a random race review that doesn't say anything more than was in the TOCA press release. What was the point you were trying to make?

If the were to develop the Thruxton track any further, I would like to see them put spectator areas at the back of the circuit, though they would all have to be on the inside part of the track, and may or may not interfere with the airport bits. Its probably an impossible thing to ask for, but its a shame not being able to witness all the high speed stuff up close as a spectator. The only real high speed area that people can view at is just after Allard on the run up to Campbell.

I'm sorry but I just had to post something.
I watched the important bits of Sunday's BTCC finale on the telly and laughed out loud for an unusually long period of time when Plato lost the championship in round 29. His performance in race 3 at Thruxton reminded me so much of why Vauxhall refused to retain his services in 2002, turning down a 'number 1' on the doors of their car in favour of a less **** ish driver. I have seen a lot of renewed Plato fever over the last couple of years but he is still a transparent oaf who will resort to devious tactics and dangerous driving when it suits his cause. His false political correctness and professional behaviour when he is anywhere near a microphone or camera, don't fool me. Anyone who knows me, will know I am far from being a Matt Neal fan but I can fully understand Matt's motivation for what he did on Sunday. I'm still laughing. Congratulations to Fabrizio and 888. Woohoo, Sandown,Bathurst and BTCC champs. Carry on. Dave Last edited by touringlegend; 16 Oct 2007 at 21:21. Reason: Auto-censor mistake.. |

"Plato said he believed that Neal’s actions would turn people against him in the long run." - thus speaks a man with experience..
Welcome back 'vader - good to see you've been watching the telly |

So Jason Plato tries yet another opportunity to appear politically correct and holier than thou, and Matt Neal attempts to play down any talk of feuds and avoids making comments that question the integrity of other drivers.

So somehow the Vauxhall team knew that a rival team had a specific problem that would result in said car 'not attacking' their driver as a previous poster pointed out.
He really is insulting not only the class but its fans/viewers with this bulsh*t... There'll be a big orange coloured (or maybe it will be next years green/red model) JCB along in a minute to help dig that hole!! |

Where is it said that Vauxhall knew about Team Dynamics' specific problem?
