[WEC] How on Earth do I watch a WEC race?

No commercials was amazing. My only gripe is that they switched to Eurosport comms for the race after having the WEC team during all the previous sessions at Le Mans and all the previous races.

It was nice of Quest to show a few hours during the night using Eurosport's feed. Glad I got see some of the race as a result

Just gone into Eurosport and there was a pop up saying that to stream Eurosport you will have to use Discovery+ from July 22nd. I guess that won’t make any difference. Hopefully the picture quality will be the same.

I’m pretty sure for, comments round here the commercial free version is still there for WEC. And hopefully the cycling too which I watch.

They’ve essentially me an email about it so I’m hoping for a good deal to move too.

Yeah Discovery+ is a good product and works very similar to Eurosport Player. They've had qualy and races with the world feed commercial-free so far this season from WEC.

And it's got every cycling race under the sun too - at least that's been the case in the UK. Enjoy the TDF if you're tuning in. That's my day job, working for one of the teams.

In many other countries both EurosportPlayer and Discovery+ are ending and replaced with HBO Max next month, and as you can guess the price goes up a lot.

Presumably not the UK as Sky essentially acts as a HBO channel over here?

I just wished my Discovery Plus here was y'alls Discovery+ over there to stream better stuff. Or that all gets added to Max and I can just magically fly to another country to stream a bit. But at least I found LM was commercial free on Max so that was nice, let's see if Brazil is as well

Thanks for posting all the details, I'm a surprised Eurosport UK aren't covering the whole race, their schedule shows pretty limited coverage very disappointing. Is the whole race on YouTube without subscription?

No, just FP3 will be live on YouTube. Qualifying and the race will be uploaded to YouTube a few weeks after the race.

Presumably Eurosport will show all of it on their online service though.

YouTube... Maybe try a Brazilian VPN. They were the last country to run free races on YouTube I believe. No guarantee they still do though.

Are you a VPN user JR? If yes may be you could try and catch La Chaîne l'Équipe in France its free, at least here. If yes again I'll check the schedule for you.

Yes, pretty sure no ads.
On my TV- apps -discovery plus -sport - all sports -endurance racing. All the races,past and forthcoming are listed but searching is a nightmare!
I have Discovery plus since 90% of my viewing is sport related.

Navigate to the sports section. Find 'all sports'. Scroll down to 'Endurance Car Racing'. Then you should see all the sessions in the upcoming section.

I have managed to "find" a place that shows the WEC feed, no ads, no popups.

Not strictly erm well you know, but it does seem Eurosport are being phased out of motorsport, it happens with SBK and BSB swell they push it on to numerous channels, look at the name of the channel they are hardly going to be pro are they, they just want money for extra channels.

The ads on Eurosport are so quick and often you cannot watch ANY endurance racing on there, it is basically like You Tube they make the ads so awful you almost HAVE to pay for the sub, sorry I do not like being bullied I will find my own way thanks
