Hmmm that could be a very early start, so much for a late night on Saturday! At least it'll be a nice early finish, can get to the party (assuming there is one) have a shower and a relax, get packed up and still be home for a decent time on Sunday evening.

lol! The irony is that I'm wasn't convinced about what I remember, and *you* could well be right about 0800

Pretty sure there will be one since "Brit Floyd - The World's greatest Pink Floyd tribute show" have announced they will be playing there, see http://www.britfloyd.com/news/99-bri...f1-grand-prix-.

That says they are there on the Saturday so the usual post GP Party/concert wont be featuring them, I expect they will be performing in one of the "E Zones"

From the Silverstone Website

Off-track Entertainment

Silverstone's E-Zones at Stowe and Copse include activities to keep the whole family happy, with plenty of chances to win prizes plus celebrity appearances. At Arena E-Zone we have live acts and bands, this year's line up for Friday and Saturday has now been confirmed! Blue Nation, Studio 54 and the amazing Jamie Archer returns on the Friday night. With Brit Floyd, Shockolady, Vanquish and Tony Hadley all performing on Saturday evening. Times to be confirmed.

Grand Prix Party

The after-race party is now firmly established as part of British Grand Prix tradition. Full details are yet to be confirmed but rest assured that once again the band will strike up after the last race of the day, joined on stage by a host of F1™ personalities. As always, the party will be open to all race goers free of charge.

Still slightly confused, where exactly is Abbey Pit Straight Outside is it on the Pit Straight (hence the name) or on the first corner?

It will be the outside of the pit straight, a bit like ped bridge on the other pit straight, but without the bridge and on another part of the circuit

The first corner is actually Farm.

And you won't have to do it again for some while, but in the meantime go look at what happened there over the GT weekend a fortnight back. It's not always quiet.

I think the changes are highlighted in red, and there only seemed to be one, so it might be that you can just change that one person rather than doing a whole new list...!

It still wouldn't be my first choice of post - not being able to see much of the racing being the main problem - but it will have its moments I'm sure. Standing on the wall watching a grid full of F1 cars doing 170 into Copse on the first lap for example...

I sometimes moan about posts at Silverstone being miles away from the edge of the track, I guess that proves the old saying "be careful what you wish for" - you can't get much closer than a pit wall.

Can't agree there Steve. They were the only excitement we had at Hangar inside, 2 years ago.
