There was a good 8 seconds from when Weel stopped until Pither hit him.
The question needs to be was Pither given adequate warning of the stationery car around a blind corner? Not sure of where the flag point is there, but if it was just before the bend then he really should have been shown a yellow the post before that. An in car yellow light systen is really needed here. |

An interesting qualifying session for Mr Mcconville and Team BOC.
From their website - Cameron Mcconville “My most eventful Qualifying ever. The car was not good at the beginning of the session until we made some adjustments then I think we were looking good to achieve times in the low 8’s. Suddenly I copped a huge BANG at the rear, I didn’t know what it was. It turned out to be a TV cable of all things - which was totally ridiculous. Once I spent time in pits having all the glass removed from the shattered rear window I continued Qualifying. The aero balance was so disturbed the balance was shocking and I had understeer and it’s very dissapointing to finish 16th in such stupid circumstances.” |

Can anyone tell me why D'alberto was qualifying the Nash car when Bargs was about a second and a half faster?

What have being your thoughts over CH7 telecast today, will alot of there pre recorded snippets be flogged to death over the next two days, they have already picked out there favourite drivers for the weekend, so will get them thrown down our throats over the weekend.
But overall it was not ot bad, room for improvment. |

Does anyone know a website that has very high definition quality pictures of the Mount Panorama race track? I googled it but ill i get are some odd angles but non give the track the justice.
They don't necessarily even need to have race cars in the pics. I'd rather have a clean shot. I really want some of the "Cutting" "Mountain Straight" "The Chase" and "The Dipper" Something like this....preferably without "View Images" and a bit bigger. If you do.....please PM them to me as i dont want to waste thread space. |

Re: The Car #50 incident yesterday: I think Chris should have been travelling slower than he was. The Fujitsu car missed Car #50 but he would of seen the accident, But Brad Jones came around a bit later and he would not of seen Car #50 but he managed to miss him.( I think this is what Crompo was alluding to) Pither was travelling at speed. The flaggies don't stuff around up there, especially after the Porter crash, there would of been ample warning. Chris will learn from this. Lets be thankful that everyone is ok and there are no major injuries.

It was ok, fair amount of ads for every safety car. And coming back to the to the track just before the SC pulls off just prooves how 'LIVE' we are actually getting it from 7. (I know SC cars are boring but don't advertise it as a 'LIVE' event when it is 'DELAYED') Hopefully Sunday is better. Another gripe is reporters from other networks and even 7's own news reporters, Do your research. Whinchup was qualifying the car not Lowndes. Winterbottom not Richards was doing the same. It only takes a couple of seconds to get it right. Anyway time to crack a tinny and warm the arse-groove of the chair in for more'LIVE'/'DELAYED' V8 action. |
