Oh yes, its not so often you can get the sea-sick while driving. Vague driving! And a very lazy three speed gearbox. In this respect the Aerostar was the proper Ford answer! Did you have the first gen Multipla on your roads?

For the natives, out of curiosity: when you buy parts, are the threads, bolts and nuts in imperial? The import cars have all the gear as intended or changed?

Talking about spotting , see one of these on a regular basis https://www.erclassics.fr/lancia-flaminia-1962-l4211/ She's light purple, coupé usine, pristine and really you can't miss it in our streets.

Perhaps done to even out the tyre wear. The camber will kill the inner treads whereas the toe will do the same to the outer.

I stand to be corrected by those with more experience - VivaGT is still involved in the trade - but I believe that most if not all parts in the UK for recent and current cars are supplied with metric fittings, with the most common seemingly 10mm, with mechanics/fitters always losing their 10mm sockets, which appears to be a joke in the trade!

Obviously won't apply to historics, although replacement parts and engines may have gone to metric.

Thanks Mike. I didn't notice any change in historics and find that the imperial thread is more appropriate. Thing is, here, its quite a hassle to source ay proper fitment in good quality material.
As to the Lumina/ Trans sport is seem to remember one could be seen at Dland or maybe Epcot.

I remember renting one at Miami when it was introduced on the market. Very good cornering abilities and a lot of features making life easier. Ford policy was to use rental companies to promote the new models. Not the same song in EU, we must be happy when cars of rental have four wheels…

That's correct. The 98 Impala was FWD. Although it was the MotorTrend car of the year, it was a hateful, boring, POS. My mom had the Olds 88 version and it only needed a head gasket every 20,000 miles.

Also the VF Commodore was just called the SS here. There was another "car" called the Impala in the lineup at that time.
