I think it might be a while before any fast taxi appreciates in value.

Value is a product of supply & demand and there are so very many V8SC in existence now, surely the demand has been sated, if not it soon will be, they just keep building more & more of these things. |

Presumably this has meant the shell in this ad has been rebuilt to 'GMS Spec' using the parts in the ute as templates. Does that make the finished product a 'genuine' GMS chassis if it has been replicated and potentially 'hot rodded'? |

A genuine GT40 comes up for sale every 2 light years! $2.5M could well be the going rate. Though not a Group C, A or RV8SC |

On the website Here, there is a pic of a DJR Falcon in the background to some of the cars.
It has a yellow rollcage... now from memory, the 2 Race Image-owned BA's had white rollcages, as did the 2 BA's (now in BF spec) still at DJR. Presumably it is one of the AU's around, converted to BA? |

The orange/black First rock car with the yellow roll cage is likely a promotional mock-up, presumably one of the hard to seel AUs, maybe the La Delle car? |

I'm pretty sure when that Bowden GT40 was first advertised it was on the News that it had to stay in Australia.[stipulation of sale]

The DJR BA in that photo is the ex-La Delle car, last raced as an AU in the 2006 Fujitsu Series (Chassis DJR AU12).

The contact at the bottom of the ad is Chris Bowden.

There was a write up on the GT40 in Unique cars. It is a factory road and was raced in Australia by a George Parlby and was at one stage painted in the Gulf colours. Hope it does stay in Australia. I think there may be only one other original GT40 in Oz owned by Lindsay.

There will be a dozen Group C & A cars competing at the Classic Lakeside meeting this weekend.
Chris Bowden in the Tokico RX-7 will be challenging Frank Binding's Army Reserve XD Falcon for Group C honours and there's some real quality in Group A. I'm tipping David Towe's JPS M3 to come out on top of the Anderson Bros. Mustang, the Deluxe Coachlines VK, the Trevethan/McDowell carbied VL, the Scotty Taylor Xerox shop Starion, Skaife's Gibson HR31, an ex BTCC RS500 and the '92 Bathurst winning Winfield Godzilla R32 GT-R!!!!! 1 more sleep. I can't wait!!!! |

The racing out at Lakeside on the weekend was awesome, even with about 10 cars on the track. Shame Godzilla hit the fence and the other Skyline blew up.
More pics are HERE |

Probably don't have a phone line at Lakeside just yet, should be uploaded in the next day or two.

An interesting collection of European-presented Group A machinery seems to be making a home for themselves in Australia
ex-Pirro BMW M3, the ex-Graham Goode Listerine Sierra, and now the ex-Shaun Walker FAI Sierra |
