It does not matter how "crazy" John Watson gets. He is the god of SRO GT racing. If he is removed from commentary before he dies then there should be rioting on the streets of La Source and Raidillon Eau Rouge.

SRO have released the GT World Challenge Europe calendar for 2021, more normal looking calendar, couple of TBA venues. Presume the Endurance round the week after Brands Hatch sprint will be Silverstone but thats not confirmed.

Wouldn't be a race without a lap 1 safety car, wouldn't it?

Every other car looks like it’s been in a 15 lap touring car battle royal but the race winning #54 Porsche Looks pristine, you wouldn’t even know it had been in a race! Dominant performance,

Was an entertaining race, apart from the first lap incident. The Porsche deserved the win, considering it kept out of trouble, the drivers didn't do significant mistakes and they also drove away from everyone at the safety car restarts.
Out of all the cars, the only contenders on pace seemed to be the #32 Audi, especially with Dries at the wheel, but they got that penalty. |

The race was good when there was racing.
The Safety Car after Yellow rule still sucks (and I'm going to repeat that until they abandon it), as there was absolutely no need for it. Not impressed by some of the driving standards though. How many cars in the top 15 - apart from the winner - did not have any contact with another cars, be it as an aggressor or a victim? How many times was the #63 Lamborghini assaulted? Did anyone keep track? Surprised they didn't call in the Bentley while they did do it for #33 Audi. |

Rigon vs Haase was particularly entertaining until Davide flipped his lid and tried to barge the Audi off the track! The ensuing puncture was probably vindication!

GTWC Europe has been quite good this year overall. The racing and the cars that are running have been solid. I really am happy that the Tech 1 team has brought out the Lexus in particular to give the sprint series more manufacturer diversity. Wish we had an Acura and a pro BMW effort but I think we will at least have that for Spa.
With that said..the FCY/Safety car procedures still stink!! It just has not reared its ugly as as much in 2020 as in 2019. But Spa 24 is usually the race where the FCY/Safety car procedure really comes in to ruin the on track product the most. Fingers crossed we get no rain this year. Sick of Spa 24 getting pelted so much with the double whammy of the rules and the rain. |

I don't think anyone has voiced good thoughts about the SRO SC procedures.
I'd add the stint length and pit stop length regulations to that too. |

If I counted right I think the car breakdown for the spa 24 is this:
Porsche 11 Mercedes 10 Lamborghini 8 Audi 7 Ferrari 6 Bentley 5 BMW 3 Aston Martin 2 Acura 1 McLaren 1 Lexus 1 Funny how Porsche leads the way but for the GT WC Sprint series there is not a single one there. |

SPA 24(25) hours is live next weekend on Sky Sports F1 inbetween their Portuguese GP coverage. Although I know that means little to most people because it’s streamed online anyway it does mean that you can get HD coverage and it feels like quite a big development for such a great race.

Some changes in the Audi line-ups.
For one reason or another Audi has decide against racing their DTM drivers Frijns, Müller and Rast #30 was: Vanthoor - Frijns - Mies now: Vaxiviere - Dennis Marschall - Mies #31 was: Bortolotti - Van Der Linde - Rast now: Bortolotti - Van Der Linde - Vanthoor #25 was: Winkelhock - Haase - Müller now: Winkelhock - Haase - Boccolacci https://www.endurance-info.com/fr/24...port-remanies/ https://www.endurance-info.com/fr/24...eam-sainteloc/ |

Any infection during the Spa weekend puts them out of action for the DTM finale 2 weeks later, so it kind of makes sense, but a shame nonetheless. Three fantastic drivers. |

A DTM which is dead indeed and enters in direct competition with Adac GT Masters and GT WC Europe, only because they failed with their own formula.

No Bortolotti (fever), either, so the WRT line-ups get re-reshuffled
#30 was: Vanthoor - Frijns - Mies then: Vaxiviere - Dennis Marschall - Mies now: Vaxiviere - Dennis Marschall - Ferdinand Habsburg #31 was: Bortolotti - Van Der Linde - Rast then: Bortolotti - Van Der Linde - Vanthoor now: Mies - Van Der Linde - Vanthoor https://www.endurance-info.com/fr/24...lotti-forfait/ |

Will be cheering for a car that is NOT Audi, BMW, and Porsche to win. Those 3 makes have dominated Spa for the past 5 years. Surprised how Mercedes has not pulled it off. And there is also Aston, Lambo, Bentley, Acura, Lexus, Ferrari, and McLaren. Hopefully one of those and not the 3 makes mentioned in the beginning.
