I struggle to make it look nice because there are so many manufacturers. As soon as you display more than 3 manufacturers, it looks like spaghetti!

I am often confused that GR does not mean Gazoo Racing.

Toyota topped FP1. Kobayashi was going to top qualifying, and Toyota topped FP2. Tells you all you need to know. Porsche favorites.

Quick look at free practice I see Porsche -Ferrari and Toyota as fastest, followed by Cadillac, BMW and Alpine - Peugeot a bit further back and then Lambo and Isota

Caddy was fast in qualifying but does not seem to feature towards the front in practice

Are Ferrari insinuating that some (Porsche) still heat up their tires even if tyre warmers are banned? - Maybe a software feature on the steering wheel that PPM forgot about after a recent test? - Sorry I had to

kartman24 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Following yesterdays sessions it doesn`t feel like anyone has got a large advantage, have those that work out the BOP got it more or less right? Only Peugeot, Lambo and Issota seem to be behind the main pack in Hypercar and no one make seems to be ahead in GT3. Are there still teams that are sand bagging despite having had Qualifiying? I still feel the race will swing the way of Toyota and Porsche though not the teams i will be rooting for.

Naming no names, but I worked with a team some years back that were "mildly" heating their tyres even though it was banned in the championship, so it happens.

I think the people running things are finding ever more clever ways of trying to work our sandbagging, as the teams are probably doing the same!

BMW found a lot of pace later on after a fairly average GT qualifying run.

Alpine look to have made a step, but not shock there with their experience at Sarthe.

BMW in Hype look good, Peugeot really do not all drivers complaining of vibration, with new or old tyres v odd.

Interesting to me that the fastest Super Trofeo time (3:53.3) is 2 seconds faster than the GT3 fastest time but the top speeds are similar 292kmh for Super Trofeo and 294kmh for the Corvette GT3.

More traction due to Super Trofeo being all wheel drive?

Makes me think of 2019 and 2020 in GTE when both Aston and Porsche took pole and then were nowhere during the race. Maybe we will see similar with some cars going backwards once racing gets going

Yes, it was.

Jota could possibly miss Hyperpole because they are replacing the #12 chassis after the FP2 crash.

In this case which I don't hope for them, what can happen? An empty space or they bring the second Alpine to the batch?

I remember last night when Hindy confidently proclaimed the chassis “should be fine” based on presumably squinting at the TV pictures. An entire corner was gone so never ideal.

Would be interested to know what happened to cause it. Big shame as they were a real dark horse contender. Feels like they’ll have their work cut out now.

Unrelated, was anyone at Dunlop for the start of FP1? Both BMW hypercars completely sideways fully locked up into the chicane. Was like watching Formula Drift. Tyre warm up is going to be so interesting to watch.

According to Sportscar365 - a seven car Hyperpole. A shame for the show if so.
