It absolutely is. Is anyone even following what's going on in this pseudo racing contest?

Indeed there is the WTCR series. Some could do better like TCR Uk, then there are others

WTCR is probably the best, despite so many races around the world. TCR UK is a great idea that hasn’t gone well. The others have been alright

TCR Germany have some great races TCR Europe 'should' have best European drivers racing there, but still it was very good last year. |

The main question shall be why is Renault Sport supporting this failure in the making?

If they manage to get the car on the same level as the Alfa Romeo I don't see it as a failure. Of course their first attempt was a failure.

One guy who works in Hyundai Motorsport was present at Valencia BoP and he said that every car that was driven in Valencia this and previous year are covered by 2 seconds without BoP.
Cupra is fastest car and Giulietta is slowest. |

Can't compare! We all know the BoP of the Alfa Romeo has always been kind! When Team Mulsanne hit the bottom in 2018 WTCR with Gio & Morbi leaving - it suddenly got some extra power and started winning!
Una grande famiglia! |

Just normal car without any BoP, ECU tinkering and ballast. |

Big news. Daniel Ricciardo will race a TCR Renault this year after testing one at Bedford which he found "fun". He says he has a better chance of a world championship in this Renault than his normal day drive. Or maybe it's a PR stunt. Who really knows |

If the rumours are right, then they could be supporting a WTCR effort

Weirdly enough, I snapped this picture only yesterday. I was at an office near Birmingham. There was lots of racing paraphernalia scattered around the place, a car with a roll cage, what looked like an old Fiesta Zetec car etc.

It seems the car could make the debut in WTCR. Maybe there is a project of MG to return racing in touring cars with high ambitions... Still difficult to find credible news from China ...
