TuteZaek should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Canapino confirmed TC Pick Up For 2023

Whats funny is that the confirmation came because a meme from a twitter page (TC memes) that did a fake JP Carrera anouncement of him joining the series... and some big names ate it and went to JP for confirmation... which ended being true...

Argentina, you wouldn't understand

Argentina is a country-sized meme.

The TC2000 is in serious trouble.

In other news, the Buenos Aires city government claims to be working on a Turismo Nacional race on the Puerto Madero street circuit.

Silva is racing? neat

For TC and TCPK I always search on Youtube. For most races there are people who upload the races, or at least the final. Picture quality is most times not very good.
Official streaming on motorplay.tv (something like $7/month).

The TN weekend was a party, with the guest drivers, the indy doing some laps, a new C2 champion, Cravero(on the same Fiesta that won the last few) and good racing... Till the end of the C3 main drivers final, it was fun, but for the incorrect reasons.
Pernia lifting on the end gifting the victory to Merlo was a really big **** up, from him and the team. Almost decided the championship.

I understand the need for ballast weight, especially in TN where cars are not spec at all, so it's not easy to balance so many different models.

However, yesterday's race end was shameful.

Here's my idea: ballast weight could consider only the last two races.

Say that the top 8 drivers get 50-40-30-25-20-15-10-5 kg.

* Two wins-> 100 kg.
* Win and retirement -> 50 kg.
* Two 4ths -> 50 kg.

Therefore, drivers wouldn't mind winning, because the ballast weight for that result would be dropped a few races later.

The problem isn't the ballast weight itself (nor Is the balance, TN Is a BoP series) but the caracter?*stics of said ballast, which penalizes a lot the 2nd victory with unremovable weight.
The other problem was Pernia not wanting to get weight knowing that if Castellano didnt won, It would go to the last race with a light car.

This last mess isn't on the ruleset, but on Pernia alone imho

TN races last weekend were disappointing, with the finish of the class 3 race as negative highlight.

The races were ok, or even good till that happened.

C2 was a nice "strategic" race, shame about Abdala breaking. Cravero's Car needs to be in a museum, that Fiesta has like 5 championships and a Couple 2nd places.
C3, about the same, but Pernia & Team mistake was shameful
That said, my problem was the mistake and the fact that was made to **** his team/structure mate race, not the lift per se, is a valid strategy (even if is stupid)
The famous Traverso always did the same when he raced, and everyone thinks he is the "best"

Honda and Ardusso confirmed for new TC2000 season.

With Toyota departing TC2000 any chance Santero will move with Toyota to TCR South-America?

Toyota finally stays for 2023, with, aparently, 4 cars, one of them will be an SUV to full develop it for 2024 (don't know if is from the start)

TC2000 wants to limit the age of the SUV drivers tho (thats stupid)

Also, Ciabattari (FDC owner) will go to work in Honda (Already worked for the brand as director, on the Silva-Pechito era) and maybe rent the Citroens.

TCR SA doesn't seem to gather a lot of atention from Argentina yet, its weird.
Also, they don't seem to clash a lot with their calendars, Barrio is racing the Corolla TCR and TC2000

With all the touring car series in Argentina I don't think it's strange. For sponsors these national series are more interesting.

There is bad blood and then there are those two

Canapino lately seems involved a lot more on these kind of incidents, he needs to relax a bit.

Today, since the Fifa Wold Cup is starting on sunday, the TC had its qualifying for the saturday race on Toay... it was crazy

There was rain, and changing conditions, and the pole went to... Mathias Nolesi (Ford-Nolesi Competicion), who got its first pole position ever, after 267 races, 2nd came Christian Ramos (Torino-RUS Med Team), and 3rd, Kevin Candela (Ford-Candela Competicion). Spataro (Torino-Alifraco Motorsport) got penalized and ended 4th

And the ones fighting for the championship?
Lets say that they didn't had a nice qualy... of the 15, Todino (Torino-Maquin Parts) was the best, on 33rd
Urcera (Torino-Maquin Parts) ended 29, Werner (Ford-Fadel Racing) 31 and Canapino (Chevrolet-JP carrera) 46 second to last placed Benvenuti (Torino-ACRA), who got no laps

Canapino is one of many Argentine drivers who don't leave any room for rivals.

A few weeks ago, Gabriél Furlán said on P1: "I never crashed because I knew I had no obudget to ever race again".

These guys do have the budget.

Furlan shouldn't talk about anything.
He is one of the main instigators of the political divide on the argentine racing scene, and did a fair amount of stupid and unsportmanlike stuff during his racing tenure.

(That said P1 is the best program on the subjet of racing in Argentina, even if its a bit obsequent with the drivers)

So today:
"El Pinchito" Castellano (Chevrolet Cruze) got crowned as the TN C3 Champion after a victory in Rosario (it's first this year, and the one needed to be champion) while his rivals got a troubled weekend, with Merlo struggling, and Pernia and Teti coming from behind but not enough.

And Azar (TGRA Lexus) got its second championship in a row (and 4th for TGRA) in Top Race V6 after a fierce and somewhat polemic fight with Josito (FIAT) (his rival in the championship) ending on 2nd place behind Gaston Rossi (Mercedes) and ahead of Jorgito Barrio (Lexus) that got another podium.

Now only left the ACTC, who waits for the definitions of their series on their respective last meetings, San Nicolas (TCPK-TCM-TCPM) and San Juan (TC-TCP)
