#50 will take over the lead in less than an hour if the pace continues like this.
I have no idea what the heck is wrong with both BMWs... |

Reportedly 78 was suffering from a misfire. 79 certainly does not seem to have the pace in the current light and weather conditions, but nobody can touch the Audis for pace right now. The lead R8 is pretty strong, and Kumpen's experience this year with the WRT car means he seems to be holding up his end. Rocky for 3 24 hour victories this year?!
Gimmi Bruni is hauling the Ferrari back into the equation too. Amazing to have 4 manufacturers in the top 4. |

Schnitzer is testing with slick tyres in its second car. So it looks the problem is with Dunlop.

They used to do such things in the Group A days, getting their 'satellite' cars to run alternate, non-contracted brands, to see if they are any better in performance... |

The BMS Porsche is also on slicks, as is the #50 Audi.
That's not going too well for them, either. |

Really? Fassler just did a low 2:47! He's really been in a league of his own on this double though, showing his traditional Spa mastery.

But just before the start of this 9th hour, he was losing a few seconds a lap to the other contenders (bar the BMS car).
Lap times seem to have come down again by now, for everyone really ... EDIT: 2:43 even for Fässler last time around |

Fassler into the 2:43s now. He was a little slow for a brief time, but really 50's been the quickest car since late in hour 7. Bruni also continues to be pacy in 2, and 23 is picking back up as conditions must be becoming more favourable for slicks.

Yeah, slicks definitely look like the tire to have ATM.
Only just before the 9th hour seems to have been a difficult period for those on dry-weather tires. BMW is in (for slicks), let's see what it can do now! And this stop means the 2 is back in the lead for now |

Times picking up again, still looking like Audi weather as 51 has been the fastest on track for the last couple of tours, dipping under 2:40 a couple of laps back.

seems it will be a battle between the Ferrari, the Porsches and the GT3 Audis, unless BMW can find themselves again.

The times of #79 aren't too bad. It's far too early to write it off.

looks like trouble for Westbrook, very slow middle and last sector then into the pits.
