not sure how reliable this is, but channel 7 during its olympics coverage was showing a highlights of future sporting events and it included the 12 hour.
I assumed this meant they will be showing the 12 hour next year, But Not 100% confident in that |

I heard an interesting rumor the other day too. One that came from inside the Seven west group, and that indicated that they are looking at motorsport again, but not VASC.

Here's the privateer GT-R announcement. Hobson Motorsport has purchased the two Always Evolving cars from this season here in the States. They'll be receiving them after the end of the PWC season.

Well early bird has been closed for a week now. Hoping for an initial entry list soon.
Last year we got the list on Sept 3. |

Last year we had the previous promoter acting as a consultant to the new owners. The guidance and assistance provided to the new promoter saw a lot of things happen just the way they had previously.
The new promoter is now running the show and doing it their way, just as they have with Supercars. Different approaches to business I guess and Pecky this is not a dig at Supercars, just what they see as the pecking order(oops an unfortunate selection of word) in the running of that acquisition. |

Lowndes with Whincup in 488
Very interesting, is this the first time JW has driven something outside a Supercar in the past ten years (ROC not included?) |

Pretty early call considering the other quality teams and drivers to be announced. SVG, Parente + McLaren Pro would be every ounce as good as the Lowdnes/ Whincup entry

Wonder how many 888-ers might migrate into the MM garage for the weekend to run the stops & strategy too? |

Good to see Whincup finally having a go. Wasn't planning on coming back down until 2018 but the potential entry list and the fact it will probably be the peak of GT3 racing at Bathurst I'm pretty tempted..

Great to see Miedecke and Stone having a very solid crack at the race next year. And another GT4 entry.
Great to see the class racing that makes this event so good really building |

You're not wrong, that is a strong team and a very nice job on the commercial package.

Going by the current FIA rankings (updated 30/9,) Longhurst is the only classified driver and he is a Silver.
Skaife would probably be a Gold from my quick browsing of his results. Ingall might be a Gold, but might be able to downgrade to a Silver due to age, but may not be able to downgrade depending on how his codrive for Nissan is viewed...factory drivers have to be Gold,. |

I was hoping for a scheme that mimiced Longhurst's last BMW racecar on the mountain.
