Paul, you meant this one?

12 Feb 2003, 15:40
"Dana Brewer is well known thru out US racing as being full of s#@t!! This
guy has hung out more people with his fantasies and outright fabrications
and lies. My team had a brief dealing with this guy in Trans-Am and the
owner saw thru him in the first 30 minutes. If Pantano's people couldn't
see this guy coming from a mile away, then yes he needs new management..."

I really want to see the ACEMO Saleens running in 2007, but won't hold my breath...

P.S. Welsh Karter -> yes.

i remember what happened at silverstone 2005 ehehhe but in any case it's quite difficult to believe that a team coming from nowhere would but 2 Saleens and start a racing program in less than a month (they were for sale when there was the Sebring Test), adding the reputation of Brewer i really would put this in the "believe it when it's on track ecc..ecc.."

Stranger, you picked the most obvious post out of that thread, but yes. That's the story to which I was referring - the BC Motorsports entry into the 2003 CART season with Sunoco sponsorship and Pantano as a driver.

So there is serious doubt that the Acemco Saleens have been sold?

Haupt??!!

Has he decided that cars and not Trucks are his immediate future again then?

He dabbled in DTM a couple of years ago (and maybe supercup?) but hasn't done much since his Audi days in early 90's? He was pretty useful back then.

Yes

He had a very good rookie season in WTCC. Unfortunaly he was forced to leave WTCC after 7 or 8 events because of budget reasons.

According Forbes Magazine the family fortune is around 2 billion Dollar....
Together with Dennis Retera he did a few FIA GT3 races with the Lambo last season.

His Maserati it's just a Maserati MC-12 Corsa, this car it's not omologate for racing, it's like the Ferrari FXX.

Hubert Haupt was in Monza only for his pleasure..

Confirmation on DSC that Dana Brewer has not (as some have already suggested would happen) come up with the dosh, and we will not be seeing the ex Acemco Saleens in FIAGT this year.

Ah well, it's better that they don't turn up than do one or two rounds then disappear I suppose?

Fear not folks there's still time for someone or other to enter the Zakspeed or Oreca cars.

We simply must have at least one decent S7 in the line up..

I just hope that Jeff Giangrande didn't put some potentially serious bids/offers for his cars to one side whilst having his time wasted by Brewer.

Jeff's a smart cookie who keeps his ear to the ground - I'd wager he wasn't surprised by Brewer's default. Hey, if we here could all see it coming, you better believe someone in Jeff's position could. I would therefore expect he'd keep communication open with any other interested parties during the agreement period with "Spectrum".

Jos Menten told me that the #41 Lambo is the oldest car. You can see some pictures of this car on josmentenracing.nl --> pictures --> Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT.

Concerning the other Lambo's:

#7 had the 2006 aero pack for normal/high downforce
#8 was equiped with the 2007 low downforce pack.

Cheers

The 41 is maybee the oldest car, but it is probably has been rebuild totaly with new engine, chassis improvements(?), new aero etc. It's now in LeMans 07 spec.
