Erm, that's not a schedule, it's just a list. But i have been to the website and for everyone's benefit I've converted the list to a schedule, see below.

November 13 - 11pm - Tasman International 100 Warwick Farm 1968

November 14 - 11pm - Australian Grand Prix Lakeside (QLD) 1969

November 15 - 11pm - Touring Car Championships, Warwick Farm 1971

November 16 - 11pm - Repco Around Australia Reliability Trial 1979

Sadly, that's it for November.

The 1969 Australian Grand Prix at Lakeside is the pick of that bunch, a fabulous Ferrari 1-2 with Chris Amon & Derek Bell. It's in this race where the Lotus of Graham Hill has it's 'stilt' rear wing fail.

It's also the last AGP packed full of 'Grand Prix' talent (as the Tasman went to F5000 in 1970) before it became a World Championship F1 race in 1985 (or to a lesser extent the Bob Jane spectaculars from 1980-1984)

I hoping the first one is a typo by the ABC, as the 1968 International race at Warwick Farm was the first one shown on LNL back in January.

A warning to all, check your electronic guide for accurate times in each state. Here in Adelaide it starts earlier through Fox, eg 10.37 on Monday etc. It generally starts later if you watch ABC 2 through your digital set top box, here in Adelaide anyway. With daylight savings times will vary in each state.

So, be warned and just double check your times.

After watching the 75/76 F1 championships last night on Fox I can't wait for more of the old stuff. F1 cars sideways and real dicing makes you want get rid of the driver aids!

That was when F1 was worth watching. They have just lost their way in the last 20 years.

Now that was some awesome television. What about the Mini spinning and the driver getting out trying to push the car off the track with other competitors racing past.

Bring on the next 3 nights.

It was good wasn't it. You could almost see the smile on Brian Foley's face as he threw the Mini around chasing Neil Allen. By the same token you could almost see the frown on Bob Jane's face as his Mustang lurched and bounced around.

How about Bob Holden in the Lancia.

I liked the way Norman May called the drivers during some of the races, R. Holden, etc, all by their first initial then surname, very proper that!!!!

And didn't they throw their cars into the corners, wow, especailly through the causeway, awesome stuff.

Did you see the marshalls at Creek Cnr as the cars came along Hume Straight before one of the races - not much communication with race control......... well, none at all I suppose!!!

Can't wait to see tonights covergae.

I liked the way they just wander around the grid at the start, getting close tothe the flag better get these guys off, hang on 5 secs to go better move the cone from next to the pole.

I think you had to be a "someone" to wave the chequer at the winner. He handed over to the lackey after the winner in each race. Those mustangs were not small cars and it is hard to believe those wooden fences would stop them inan accident. An awesome track though the Farm, some of it still exists if you look on google.

A bit like the F1 I watched the other night, real car control from drivers rather than electronics, bring it back.

It was almost entertainment to see the bush carpenters dash out at Catalina,Warwick Farm or sixties Oran Park after a car bounced off a timber
fence----cut down a plank, drill it out with a human power brace and bit, bolt it up,clerk of the course gives the nod, races resume--15 minutes tops !

Those old mustangs aren't that heavy-lighter than a SUBARU WRX I'd bet.

The open wheelers at Lakeside are on now with drivers such as Amon, Rindt, Hill etc.

Still happens at Sandown today except the wooden planks have been replaced with metal guard rails which bend & buckle when hit.

At least you now know where the term "Slapping the boards" came from.

Watched it again last night. The races were at Warwick Farm from 71 and 72The 72 race was particularly interesting with the series production cars, Moffat in the GT.HO, Bond and Brock in the XU.1's, and Chivas and Leo Geoghegan in Chargers. The 71 race had Jane in Camaro, Pete Geoghegan in the GT.HO, Beechey in the Monaro and Brian Foley in the Chesterfield Alfa Romeo GTAm ( One of the prettiest cars around ).

Did you notice the commentator hesitate naming the "other Torana driver...umm..Brock...the Victorian"... PB's fame was not established until he
won his first Bathurst 500 later in the year.

Was Jane's Camaro the alloy block 7 litre-must have been !! Beechey and Foley were the only ones not driving Sports Sedans in the lead group

I'm pretty sure the Camaro at that stage had the 7L engine in it. I think it had more to do with the commentator than actually Brock not being known. They made a hell of a lot of mistakes during the telecast.
The Beechey and Geoghegan cars were improved tourers. Also i saw a Porsche in the background a few times but it was never mentioned. Not sure who's car that was but i am guessing Jim McKeown. One car we never ever much of was the Bill Fanning Escort. That was quite a car.

in hindsight I would say Jane's Camaro was a Sports Sedan as far as our rules applied-they made him race it with the 350 block some time later. With
recent revelations in Muscle Car magazine the SuperFalcons were Sports Sedans except on the entry form !

Bob Jane out-cheated Geoghegan.
