Grand Touring Prototype... not too bad, and has a connection to the past when they had multiple chassis and engines from many manufacturers.
Not to mention that these will be running in both series.

Thanks for posting this. Lots to digest in there! I just skimmed through and looked at a few things. Saw that the engine cover fin is compulsory. Not sure if I knew that for lmdh. But they also say it is located on the engine cover, what if you had a front engine car?

Gave a quick eye, maybe I'll read it better some time later in future but it seems most of undercar aero design is basically mandatory/spec. Same kind of torque/power curve used for LMH and strange managment of hybrid boost, 30KW only for LM and daytona, 50KW for other circuits. Mandatory 7 speeds gearbox.

In an article on Road and Track about the new Caddy engine they had this info on engine regulations that I hadn't seen before:

Regulations for LMDh engines are fairly open. They don't need to be production based, and as long as they fit within specified dimensions, don't rev beyond 10,000 rpm, and exceed 110 decibels in noise testing, they're good to go. Power at the rear axle is limited to between 644 and 697 hp depending on Balance of Performance, and manufacturers can decide how much of that comes from the ICE and how much of it is provided by the hybrid system shared among all LMDh cars.

Any idea how loud the cars are currently? is that 110 decibels similar or a reduction?
