Ferrari has won, but the Porsche was forced to leave for some troubles... And at the end Porsches were 2nd and 3rd. A good result for the challenge. The new RSR Evo is here, ready to win the challenge. I'am disapponted because the best Lizard's car and Risi's best car were forced to leave the race. Ando so, F430 Tafel has won. But Porsche will have his revenge. Is the better car in GT2 class, this year. And wil show its full potential. Go, Porsche, go Lizards!
Greatful Penske racing! RS Spyder is the better LMP2 all around the world! Last edited by Dario911; 6 Apr 2008 at 14:32. |

Well, Ferrari has won in f1 today. But don't forget f1 has been designed around ferrari's requires! f1 is only a politic affair. is not a real sport cars competition. In ALMS Ferrari has won becaus... the lead Porsche has left the race. See you soon at the next race, fiat lovers!

Guy's, Porsche have a lot of work to do on the 997RSR - EVO.
I know the car raced for the first time in the LMS, but it is still far off the racing pace of the F430. I'm disappointed but not surprised. We will see what development brings, but...... Also - Can anyone tell me who was the second drive of the Virgo Ferrari? |

Bruni - works ferrari driver i think!
Virgo are a damn good squad though! Certainly the equal of the Porsche teams i would say, Porsche will get better as they run the cars more! Last edited by SebringMG; 6 Apr 2008 at 16:35. |

Are you sure?
I think the 45 Porsche was in the lead when it has it's accident. Either way, It was not as fast as the Risi Ferrari. |

At 2:55 pm (1h 30m running), Dirk Mueller (#71-GT2 Ferrari F430 GT) passes Jorg Bergmeister (#45-GT2 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR) for the class lead. from http://www.imsaracing.net/2008/event...tes/page14.pdf At 3:05 pm (1h 40m running), Patrick Long (#6-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) pinches Butch Leitzinger (#20-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) at turn 2, and the #20 car spins and stops in the middle of the track. As the car started to move again, he was clipped by Jorg Bergmeister (#45-GT2 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR), taking the left rear corner off of the Prototype and causing front body damage to the GT2 Porsche, which continued on course, second in class. from http://www.imsaracing.net/2008/event...tes/page15.pdf I love being technical BTW, I watched the race on motors and the last update on the gt2 class before the accident said 1. 71 tafel 2. 45 lyzard ~2s. and that was 5 laps before the hit, when the accident hapens u can clearly see that the porsche is at least 4-5 sec away from the ferrari oh yeah the best laps are like this 71: Mueller*/(Farnbacher) 1:12.737 62: Melo*/(Salo) 1:12.940 87: Werner*/(Basseng) 1:13.031 45: Bergmeister/(Henzler*) 1:13.077 46: van Overbeek*/(Pilet) 1:13.234 Last edited by arakis; 6 Apr 2008 at 19:10. |

qulifinig is one thing, and the best place to capitalise on quali is on a street race, I think that the major problem with 997 is tire wear, they might even be faster on one lap but on long runs ferrari has the edge

Just wait and see, the Tafel Ferrari will be the Ferrari to beat this year. Farnbacher is very capable and Muller is lights out. Just wait till they get to the more open courses!

Mosley? Who's that? Let's talk about real issues here. I am sorry to disappoint you, if you would have only asked before.... but I have a picture of the guys that I'm sure you will enjoy (and it's no pun, it's a funny picture). I'll give you a PM when I post it. And yes, it was gorgeous weather (except for Friday morning where it was cold) and a very very good race. Amazing how Audi's presence boosted the series, 28,000 people through the weekend....
