Cars then circulate at FCY speed for a further 8 minutes. Why? And then the SC is called. Why, oh why? Ridiculous! (for the 3rd time) This is a not a safety car, this is a bunch-them-up car ... |

Just got back from an outing. I can tell that other than the first hour crash this has been a good race...but for the ugly elephant in the room which is the FCY/SC rule. I agree with Gert. This can not be talked about enough until it goes away. It makes a farce out of the GT WC endurance series.
This is THE number one thing by far that is holding the back the SRO and also the 24 hours of Spa from being a higher profile race in sportscar racing. I'm just a joe-schmo fan but I'll do what I can in the future to get the word out to whomever that this rule sucks big time and it is hurting the quality of the product. SRO can do these simple things to make the Spa 24 a much better presentation: 1. Keep the FCY, but get rid of the SC part. 2. Get rid of these stupid long highlight packages every hour. 3. Sign Ryan Myhren to a long term deal |

Surprising how all of the Pro Porsches (with the exception for the KCMG pair) are out of contention. Not a great farewell run for the M6 either.

The BMWs were in contention, the Porsche never really were.

And that's FCY-SC #5 for a single car incident.
It is still ridiculous... Just for a single undamaged car |

I would like to know what the teams genuinely think about this procedure. Do they think it's necessary or are they sucking it up to continue racing...
Might as well have another video that constantly shows highlights. They are just unnecessarily long and too frequent. |

Apparently L. Vantoor has had an accident in the paddock with a quad. He has been taken to hospital. Tandy/Martin will have to drive 47 on their own

Luckily sro management reads 10/10ths race threads, and they very much note the safety car and highlight reel displeasure posted here, page after page. Unfortunately they won't change anything unless it's posted during every single hour and on every page. Keep up the good work!

Only 12 Pro cars remaining. Both the Silver cup and Pro-Am leaders close to breaking into the top 10

199 track limit warnings...
Less than I expected, but the frequency of penalties at this stage in the race is higher than I thought it would be at this point in the race. Edit - There it is! 200 track limit warnings, #30 is the latest for the 69th track limit penalty of the race. |

The circuit is long enough for slow zones, IMO.

Long stop for #32, data being downloaded from sensors on the car.
Could that be connected to the summons for the team manager, which the commentators said was to do with track limits? |

As has always been the case, Weerts is a step behind his co-drivers. He can't make up the lap time in S2 and the #32 is dropping back from the #51 as a result.

Drinks, or compressed air for the pneumatics.
It clearly isn't NOS ... or maybe it is, seeing as Vanthoor just set the #32's fastest lap |
