The Kia TCR is not a dead project. STARD continues to develop the car...

They've sold how many? 5 maybe?
There's one in Portugal, Zengo had one, one went to the STCC, and another for SE Asia. I can see why they never did the aero tests; the body shape has now been replaced. |

I count 5 as well, 2 in Hungary, 1 in Portugal, 1 in Sweden and 1 in China. Or at least thats the ones we've seen race.

Noted with thanks. I count 5 or 6 as well: 2 in Hungary, 1 in Portugal, 1 in Sweden and 1 in China and 1 doing hill climbing somewhere. Is that right? |

I don't think it's true, I have possibility to check Cupra and i30 without any BoP things and Hyundai is much faster... Also BoP explains it a little, as Cupra SEQ is 20mm lower, 40kg lighter and can drive full 100% power (comparing to 97,5% of i30), so if it would be faster during BoP test it should have more BoP disadvantage I believe. |

I reckon it'll end up a China 'special', in the same way that the Lada was in Russia up until this year.

Well it certainly could, although the Ladas weren't that bad, they did get some results

They managed to get a few wins in WTCC, which shows it wasn’t all in vain

http://www.serbiaring.com/vesti/mile...eno-megan-tcr/
Interview with Milenko Vukovic from Vukovic Motorsport about Megane TCR. Some insights -Eric Neve connected Vukovic and Renault Sport -They had problems with engine builder last year, so now they are building engine by themselves -Stefano Comini was set to race Renault last year, but there was no money -Engine is based on Clio 1.6 block, that was enlarged to 1.8. And then they installed crankshaft from Nissan Sentra. At the end Turbo is from Mercedes A-Class. |

Part 2 http://www.serbiaring.com/vesti/vuko...-vozi-i-miler/ About how GRM choose Renault And about Bennani, Ehrlacher tested the car. Also Mulller wanted to test it, but Neve didn't allowed It since Muller have contract with Lynk&Co |
