We're definitely a long way off having to worry about Turkington's drive. |

By using a separate motorsport account people miss all the road car news on the main BMW account.

I suspect it's merely a smart move by BMW's brand and marketing people.
Why do they race? Basically to get motorsport fans into a mental frame of mind of thinking that's good, wish I had a BMW. Then hopefully some of those will make it across a dealerships welcome mat and give Mr Sales Monkey a mice lead. So, one account, Colin Turkington in shiny stickerfest BMW wins race post swiftly followed by gleaming road going 3 series post. Win on Sunday, sell on Monday to quote an American gent. This is my suspicion. |

So - let's try a 2+2= moment and see what people make of it.
Jade Edwards has announced that an opportunity has arisen for sponsorship on her car. The locations in question are the bonnet, front doors and rear quarters. I'll just leave these here so that you can see what sponsors were in those locations at Croft: |

I never understood that in sponsorship. Pay lots of money to have your name over the car... but no-one has a clue what your company does from the name. Surely it's better to put... PHSC Gearboxes or PHSC Sausages or whatever it is they do!
(yes, a lot of the revenue comes from the team hosting them etc.) ...not that we see much of the logos on that car anyway! |

Having to Google something to find out what it is, doesn't strike me as particularly useful. Having said that, the deal she has with them may well be one where they use the hospitality to further their own partnerships that have nothing to do with anything the fans could bring in terms of sales or recognition. |

PHSC plc are not really after sales to the general public.
https://www.phsc.plc.uk/ "Through our three divisions we specialise in a diverse range of business sectors to manage the health, safety and security of people and property. Our integrated approach has enabled us to share and transfer success from one business sector into another. This often provides our customers with innovative solutions by addressing their challenges from a different view point. We deliver what we have come to stand for: Professional Help at Sensible Cost." The sponsorship deal is not about exposure to the masses, but corporate markets. |

Sponsorship of various sporting individuals and/or teams, including within motor and bike racing, often is not aimed at spectators or TV viewers but is part of a corporate strategy.
For example, many years ago, one of my sons was the marketing manager for one of the very large international firm of solicitors, and a decision was made for him to organise to sponsor one of the teams and one of the drivers in the British GT series that used to be a part of the TOCA package. As the firm only dealt with corporate law, they had no interest in whether spectators knew who they were because they used the sponsorship to bring clients to to the meetings where they would be very suitably entertained with plenty of high quality food and drinks laid on for the whole weekend for their guests. The same applies at all major sporting events where large firms always have a presence to entertain clients and prospective clients. |

My brother in laws company was one of Jack Goffs "stickerbomb" sponsors, his motivation for doing so was that his (specialist logistics) company was complimentary to, and working with, some of the other sponsors and all the companies involved would take their clients along to hospitality and introduce them to the other sponsors in an informal fun setting.

I guess that answers the queries on whether Motorbase have a spare chassis ready to race? |

Can't see the hybrid LED lights in the rear side windows of the Focus Tandy is in - I would guess it is still running in pre-2022 spec
The 4th one is the previous generation Focus RS |

Tandy also drove an Apec car. (At least, according to timesheets he did).
