It was rumoured that they would run the Bentley later in the year, I think that's where the comment comes from. Sounds like that probably won't happen though.

Semantics: the M-Sport Audi (owned by Audi Sport the whole time) is not being run by WRT. The car that Berg and Hughes raced at Brands Hatch was a WRT car, run as the #1 at Spa.

Perhaps. It hasn't thus far been BoP'd into competitiveness in Europe though! A dog is a dog is a dog?

As far as I know it was only running ADAC GT in Germany and not FIAGT3 Blancpain where it could have been correctly measured against the other FIAGT3 cars.

There's an interview series with Hans Reiter. He's talking about the Camaro situation: http://www.motorsport-magazin.com/me...losion-ist-da/ (in German)

The more recent road car version would be a better base aero-wise.

FIA-GT3 has an evolution freeze, so I'm not sure they can update the later version of the Camaro, or not

Yes, they can. As long as they say that it is based off the new version, like the Camaro ZL1 for example. Call it the Camaro ZL1 GT3. And a new GT3 car is born. Reiter is doing this with their Lamborghini Gallardo's. Audi has done it before. So did Ferrari, Ford, Corvette, Porsche, Dodge and even Morgan.

However, I'm not sure if this is still allowed. And I'm not sure if the Camaro already is FIA homologated.

That doesn't apply for new cars, though. Otherwise, there'd be no Bentley.

And Ratel wanted a ban on evolutions already for this year, and there would have been an exception on that for Nissan, because their car was still in development last year. I think the same would apply for the Camaro.

It is not an evolution upgrade if it's a new car.

I'm pleased by the evo-feeeze. I'd always thought GT3 was better when it was based around the 997 lap times.
It had got itself into a pointless, and expensive, arms race, in the last few years. GT3 lap times should NOT be getting quicker! Otherwise, why bother with BOP?

If the Paris universal rules talks to come to fruition, then, maybe there will be a step back in performance for GT3 to keep the GT Werks class (GTE/GTLM) at the head of the GT field. As well as vs. the Prototype classes.

Wikipedia has a pretty decent list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_GT3#Homologated_cars

Add the Viper, the C7 and the Bentley and it should be up to date.

As far as rumors go, Audi will switch to the R8 successor in a couple of years and Porsche should have something 991 based on the way as well, though not before 2015.

Thought the DBRS9 might have expired by now too.

I liked the Morgan GT3. It just lacked a certain something...
They won at Silverstone, for Morgan's 100th birthday, but then faded away into obscurity. I guess BOP did for them.

The DBRS9 was a great GT3 car, but AMR went with the Vantage, as the DB9 aged, I guess.

After all these years, are they tired of making Lambo racing cars and have few trophies in hand?
