I was just comparing it to one on eBay and wondered what the alterations you'd made to it were.

Mainly cosmetic changes.
The RAC BMW is the same for all three years with the exception of the wheels and the change in sponsors logos. That really is all I have done. The model produced by Spark that is readily avaliable (on e-bay) represents the car that appeared at the media day in 2007. As I stared to research the cars, it was noticed that the RAC logo on the bonnet was moved after the Media day in 2007 and additional decals were added after Thruxton. BBS wheels were also fitted to the car from the first round at Brands Hatch. That is what my 2007 car represents about mid season onwards. 2008 saw different championship sponsor logos (from Dunlop to HiQ) and additional team sponsor names. Also the Black stripes on the 2007 car were now replaced with a solid white stripe. Again the wheels were changed, it was now using Dynamics wheels. The 2009 model is a copy of Turkingtons BMW as it took part in the final round at Brands Hatch with every decal and the now broken white stripe on the front wings. Even down to the winners laurels and as you say the orange strips on the RAY wheels that it used during 2009. |

Hey Guys and Gals! This is my first post on this forum, some might know me from other forums. I will prodominately be posting in this thread.
I have an ever growing collection of BSCC AND BTCC diecast. I have been watching the forum from afar but I thought it was time to take the plunge. I have been watching a few websites for new releases and although not great quality but Corgi are planning a BSCC Ford Capri 3.0S 1982 British Saloon Car Championship model driven by Vince Woodman. I dont know if it was picked up before now but I thought I would give a heads up. PDS, your conversions are amazing! Fantastic quality, especially your recent RAC models. Do you make for others on the forum, i would be intersted. PM me? thank you. Until next time take care |

We are working on another ‘conversion’ of a 2009 BTCC car, hopefully finished by Christmas. Look out for that one! Anyone wanting info about the 'kits' or having a conversion, please PM me. |

The most interesting aspect for me is - how do you produce the decals you need? I've never found a satisfactory way of making them.

The Hodgetts RS1600i is an interesting one, I've got the original Corgi one from the 80's somewhere, although I think that was a slightly larger scale? |

If you are looking to make them using a inkjet printer.. forget it!
The only person I know that has reasonable success doing that way is Neil Adams http://www.btcc-racing.com/fun/replica.asp but he will tell you how difficult it is. To do them in great detail, you need a special printer! |

Have any of you come across good 1/43 Mitsubishi Starion race cars? I have the Kyosho widebody road cars, but I race a narrowbody Starion.

This is a converted minichamps BMW 325 race car using some Baymo decals to produce this model. A popular thing to do. The seller has a lot of unusual models.. some unfortunately have the decals in wrong places!!!! This one looks okay. So if you are looking at some of his models, make sure the decals are right.. |
