I'm disappointed to hear that Onslow-Cole won't be back with Team RAC, he had an impressive rookie season. Hope he finds a ride elsewhere.

Indeed good news, and nice to have a extra couple of cars on the grid. Fingers crossed they can be competitive.

Am I the only one a little concerned by the idea of a relatively small/new team attempting to run four cars and three different models. The last time someone tried that it wasn't a huge sucess.

The OC in a Robertshaw Lacetti? Could happen if a better seat doesn't appear ...

It's going to be two seperate mini-teams apparantly. One side working on the two Honda's which should be fairly straightforward, and the other side on the newer, more complicated Chevrolets. It's ambitious, but I really hope they do well. If your referring to Team Varta, what was the last car they ran well?

Doesn't really matter if it's 2 mini-teams, 4 micro-teams or 1 super-team. Either way it's an ambitious project.

I'd rather there were teams willing to be ambitious than not entering at all.

Best of luck to them.

Varta's not a great example. GA Motorsport (albeit 3 cars, 2 models) is a fair precedent.

Good luck to 'em, they'll need it.

On the bright side - finally, some Chevy's in the BTCC!

Yes good to see them.. But without the WTCC allowances, are they going to be that good in the BTCC?

The 307 Production car was very good once they ironed out the teething troubles.

To be fair, that was TBR running that. The second 307 was run by Team Varta and the 306 and Accord by renta mob. Don't be surprised to see TBR/Triple R running a car or two for another new team this coming season

A rebranding exercise by the Dunlop Parent company. I wonder whether the "Great and British" will rebrand too.

Robertshaw are being hopelessly over-ambitious by trying to run 4 cars, especially as none of the currently-signed drivers have much BTCC experience. I suspect they'd already arranged to run the Hondas when they were offered a cheap deal on the Chevvies. I'd love to see them being competitive, but I find it unlikely.

Motorbase were talking about getting the 2007 works SEATs, is that still a possibility?

They may be very old, but they were running quite good last year
