But Albuquerque is too good to be just Phil's support act IMO. -- That wasn't Pizzitola but the other Algarve Pro car |

Bah, thanks again for the correction. I'd make a fine commentator for Motorsport's Super GT coverage!

Not really a DQ, but the 9 lap penalty may as well be as the team in question is classified as the last car classified and gets only .5 of a point.

By December we will know who did win in the LMP3 class this season. ACO-style.

It's bureaucracy but still preferable to "we will strip points off from illegal winning cars but let them keep the wins as otherwise fans would get confused" nonsense NASCAR/IMSA, IndyCar and V8 Supercars offer

I guess not all want to ditch cars for Orecas after all. Suppose service is easier when you're one of the few customers instead of dozens
"Also for the LMP2, where support is more important than for the LMP3, we are more than happy to be a Ligier customer. So, when some competitors decided to switch to ORECA, we decided to buy a third JS P217 in order to continue our test programme in Europe even when we are in Asia.” http://www.dailysportscar.com/2019/1...-js-p320s.html |

When you don't have the ability to fight for wins, the Ligier isn't that far off. But as everyone else found, when you want to step it up a bit, there isn't an option outside of the ORECA.

Interesting to see that the now Old Ligier LMP3 is now racing at the Daytona Classic 24Hr this weekend.
Classic already it seems. |

They (HSR) had the Petit LeMans race winning Whelen Vette DP at the Mitty 5 months later. With Eric Curran driving, it's a different Historics here

2020 sporting regulation changes
Up to 7 LM auto invites possible, depending on the number of cars in each class.
Other changes: drive times, innovative technology entries, increased pre-event testing... https://sportscar365.com/lemans/elms...ised-for-elms/ |

The inclusion of new technology cars is obviously welcoming as the series could use any non-spec and non-bop cars they can, but I had thought the regulations already allowed special appearances... I mean yes the GreenGT thingy was not in this series but in the MLMC practice sessions, but in 2016 the modified-for-Sausset Oak Pescarolo had competed in ELMS briefly

Oh I forgot, the other good thing from the regulations was that the spec-tires-for-LMP2 are not yet happening for ELMS next year. It's probably only for 2020 but even one season is better than nothing,

Let’s hope it’s a good one, it’s managed to keep going, not sure how much longer it will go on for
