I hope he's on the grid next season somewhere because I think the talent is there with him as a driver but for someone who signed a Multi-Year deal with the team I do wonder how it's all fallen apart.
Interestingly, his main sponsor is Macklin, which is part of Bristol Street that sponsor Ingram's car.

How much of that is personal sponsorship - and how much is Vertu spreading their brands based on the driver's nationality?

I took it more to be Vertu using a Scottish based brand to support a Scottish driver. I don't expect it to be Macklin for Zelos this weekend.

I see there's been change of team name from 'Duckhams Racing with Bartercard' to 'Duckhams Racing with Un-Limited Motorsport'. Good to see them continuing to shake off any links to the days of HARD.

I know there's always going to be the feeling of them being "linked" to HARD but I've been mightily impressed by what they've managed to achieve on a small budget with a young driver like DeLeon too. Will be interesting to see what happens with them for 2025 and if they're able to keep DeLeon at the team and get an experienced driver in the second car with him to help with learning and extra data.

I noticed Donnington comms referred to them by the latter but hadn't realised it was a deliberate name change. With the longer multi-part team names they don't always get the name exactly right. Looking back it appears the Bartercard logo haven't been on the car since Croft.

Dan Zelos announcement at 1pm looks like a 'crowdfund' attempt to me.
Does that mean they can't drag the cash from anyone else for two rounds?
Will they have to drop a car if so I wonder?

DZ4x5
Trying to get 4 sponsors for Silverstone, at £5K each. The 4 logos will be on the doors and bonnet.

Ahhh that sounds a bit too much like Bobby T. Fingers crossed for Dan but afraid it might end up with him missing on the grid. And if so, then a 19-car grid for last rounds? Dear oh dear...

Nothing at all like the Bobby Thompson situation, which was down to a sponsorship deal that didn't materialise.

Dan Z basically needs to pay for his drives, which is only to be expected.

Sounds more like he's £20k short. If it was that for even one round there'd be a massive queue at the Excelr8 door!

Zelos still looking for sponsors - needs to have everything all signed tomorrow it seems from his latest post.

Was the last round a 'freebie?' They slotted him in with just a few days notice last time around. Seems odd when there's still two weeks to the next round.

I think last round might have been a last minute job with Dan being the easiest driver to get. This does seem a bit odd unless they want to give him first chance at making it happen?

Makes you wonder, if the pressure to get a deal done now is because there's someone else with the backing for the end of the season close to a deal?

That's what I'd expect the situation to be , I completely understand them giving Zelos a chance but I'm sure they aren't short of interested parties for that seat who have the backing.

I suspect we'll know early next week.

On the Cupra chassis topic. We know three are racing.
Chassis numbers 077, 085 and 089.

We know that Unlimited now owns 082 (which Deleon raced in 2023)

Boardely owns 075

Is 076 still owned by the bailiffs?

At Croft I was told by one of the Toyota managers that the Cook car was partially built from reusable RML components from one of the Cupras, anybody know which of the three cars that would be, and what stuff could be sold to be reused (if it's true.)
