I see that Placebo mentioned Canto as a possible choice for a team or two. Does this mean that he needs to perform in the Enduros ? I've heard that his test times for 888 are better than Rats and Max most of the time ...

Good chance the Davison #7 car next year will be in BP colours.

The problem with the current silly season is that it appears teams are looking to name drivers early - possible seats may be gone before he has a chance to show anything in the enduros.
If you are right about his test times (and I have also heard similar), unfortunately the only team that would know that would be 888 - and their seats are full for next year. As far as I know, he hasn't had any tests with other teams.

Is that similar to what Ford have in the WRC, with one car in Castrol livery and the other in BP?

So where will Mr Besnard end up next year?

Despite being told by posters over at the ChampCar forum for some time that he didnt have the gig, Mr Besnard will line up on the Gold Coast Indy300 ChampCar grid in the WPS Lola Ford for Team PKV...

But the bigger question may be whether this is a one off drive, or indeed the start of a WPS-does-America... certainly the exposure from Mr Hunt this season in the non-points paying finishes would not compare to a full season of ChampCar... and with plenty of seats available for the right wedge of sponduli....

... could we see an Aussie in the ChampCar series full time in 2005??

And what of the WPS Supercar seat... John McIntyre will do a great job this year, he deserves it as much as anyone!

Don't think Ritter will go to PCR, unless they expand to 3 cars next year. Have heard SBR may be running in the Konica again next year "Ritter" ?????

Confirmation of Bezzy's Indy300 drive in a WPS PKV Lola Ford Here

No mention of a replacement for Bezzy in the Supercar race, but when Mr McIntyre runs above expectations, he is a likely starter in the other car.

Gee, rdmdog, he is. And with the way you spell Kiwi, anyone would think you are trying to get around this site's censorship laws.

Kiwi is hardly a swear word and John McIntyre is a far better driver than most people might think or care to give him credit. His dad is a decent buga too, and boy oh boy can he drive his BDA Escort around Manfeild!

You have to wonder if Bezzy's one-off might lead him back overseas. If so, Mr Gore would not be hiring a wood duck in John McIntyre!

And actually, like GTR, I summised who might step up before I read the press release on Bezzy...oops!

Near the bottom of the press release, WPS say that McFadyen will step up into Bezzy's Supercar seat for the round if Bezzy's single seater seater test goes well.

Far out that Mr Gore can be a nice bloke with his $$$! Bessy can afford to miss the V8s at the Indy because he realisticly is well out of the points chase...

#23 McFadyen
#48 Yoong at Indy?

Who would have thought that would be the case at the start of the year? If anything you would have thought it would be Yoong in the Champcar, Noske and Bessy in the BAs, and McFadyen watching from over the catchfence with a Team Dynamik shirt on.... !!!

Wise choice on WPS putting McFadyen in the car too, especially if hes going to be running with them next year.

He might if Ford has given some money or support to the team. Otherwise i hear money needs to be bought in or at least sponsor found for second car.

Don't think so, I'd imagine Jones pulling a ride before him there.. Only because Youldon's points score seemed to come from running consistently in the top 10 of the Konicas, whearas someone like Jones had pace all year and showed a fair bit of courage... Nothing against Youlden's driving though at all... He's been a stand out in the enduros. Jones has a good connection with Benson too

1200Datto27 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Matbe that is what FPR need, a charger to go for the wins, and a reliable driver for the points. Ooops, that's what they had this year wasn't it!
